Seems to me whenever these athletic administration types take a new job, the news breaks as "so-and-so accepts position as such-and-such at this-and-that organization."
When it's worded as a simple resignation, that's generally not a good thing.

I heard he took a job as a fundraiser for LSU.

Yep. Sure did. Do you know why?
Ole Miss says he left to "pursue other opportunities" Just like the said about your track and field coach when he unexpectedly resigned last year

where it specifically calls him "assistant recruiting director"?
i know you think this makes a big difference, but it really doesn't.

Ding, ding, ding!! I think it's pretty obvious he's the first-round scapegoat. Wondering if there may be more...
It always seems to me that systematic cheating, like everyone suspects at Ole Miss and other programs, is a complete house of cards. It requires everyone to keep their mouths shut in order to work, so it's only as strong as the weakest link- the person with the most to lose or the most pissed off. But there's that old saying about 3 people being able to keep a secret only if 2 of them are dead. So, I'm wondering who talked? A kid who went somewhere else? A parent who didn't get the benefits they were promised for their baby boy's signature? Someone pissed that someone else got more than them or their family in the deal?
While a shame for OM, this is fascinating and entertaining for tRant.

quote:Well excuse the hell out of me Pank! I didn't realize he'd be such a hot commodity in the wake of the NOA that another program had hired him as the recruiting coordinator.
Wow. are you the one that hired him? Just wondered how he made the jump of having the title "assistant recruiting coordinator" to recruiting coordinator".
Or is it just that you can read a thread title for shite?
I'm sure Chris Vaughn will land something real quick after Charlie Strong felt like he needed to "part ways" with him?

I'm sorry that our AD wasn't able to form up a draft on the matter to football scoop.com.

t means your assistant director of recruiting resigned. While you are under investigation for recruiting violations. With a NOA about recruiting. By the NCAA. About recruiting. And he worked in recruiting. It's about recruiting.
I wonder if Ole Miss will expect Shea Patterson to stay on campus once his brother resigns from the "Associate Director of Recruiting Violatio---errr Services" position.

i didn't say ole miss lost more than one. i said two people that HAD jobs directly related to ole miss recruiting. That is a fact. Chris Vaughn HAD a job as recruiting coordinator at Ole Miss. Branden Wenzel HAD a job as assistant recruiting director at Ole Miss. Both lost their jobs this week. Ole Miss received an NOA 2 weeks ago. I'm sure this is all a coincidence
