Basketball programs living off your past history. The SEC calls National championship teams elite which uncheat has never won in baseball. You bring nothing to improve the competition. You're basically just a warm-up games.

Would be great to be in a pod with USCe, Clemson, UVA, and FSU or UGA.

Research the most watched/viewed college program in western NC. You will be surprised.

That right there is the difference between the SEC and the ACC. One is regional while the other is National.

If UNC somehow gets invited you’d have to imagine maybe Duke would too. It wouldn’t be about football that’s for sure.

Our message boards don't even talk about Duke as a partner going to the SEC. Would be a big loss not to play in conference home and home with them but football money talks.

Past history? UNC won 3 national titles in the past 18 years and finished 2nd in 2022. The baseball team has been to Omaha like 7 times in 18 years and was runner up twice.

No, but we USC alum/fans know these people. We've been in conference with them before. It may not mean anything, but we said some of the same shite about Clemson, and y'all realized we were on to something. UNC is toxic. I'd gladly welcome NC State. Those guys are awesome.

Interesting. I've known UNC fans to be obnoxious but didn't realize that extended to the administration.

I have nothing against NCSU and I think they would be a fun addition but I can't imagine a scenario where they are in and UNC isn't unless UNC prefers the B10.

Did you miss the part where I said the SEC only considers National championship teams as being elite? Your trophy case only has dust balls and what could have been awards.

Your basketball team would be behind Kentucky, Tennessee, Auburn and Arkansas at best.

None of uncheat nor Virginias sports teams would finish in the top half of the SEC. We need schools that are competitive and bring viewers from all over the country not teams that act as warm-up games.

UNC and Virginia are both top notch basketball schools. UVA just went to the CWS again.

LOLOL is this guy serious. UNC and UK are tied as the most elite national programs and the other three are well beneath them.

nsiders on the UNC boards say that leadership wants the SEC over the Big Ten. This includes Mack Brown, Hubert Davis, and the AD. They're also apparently ready to leave when a way out of the GOR is found.

UNC makes sense. Right now the SEC has 16 teams, when the new TV contract comes up, you want to get the "Revenue Pie" up so that the average payout to each league member goes up, not down.

All this adding teams to keep up with the BIG is nonsense. You only add a team that can increase the "Revenue pie" so that the average payout to each league member goes up, not down.

UNC is a team in the ACC that can add value to the Revenue stream such that when you distribute the Pie with UNC, the average payout to each league member goes up not down.

The BIG10 added Oregon and Washington to go to 18 teams, the ? is will the next TV deal increase their Revenue Pie so to speak such that when the payouts to each now 18 teams is still the average $60 million each team is estimated to be getting now according to what I heard on Full Ride with Childers and Neuheisel this past Friday.

Yes, this would be your current situation. NC State in the SEC would regulate uncheat to a 2nd tier school in your state.

Maybe you can sell shirts with the motto " we used to be good" on them.

The SECs ESPN deal starts in 2024 and runs for 10 years. I believe the Big 10 is for 7 years, starting the same time. With the GOR for ACC ending in 2036, maybe SEC could negotiate/market with the ACC schools when they go to market in 2034 to have them as part of the rights deal.

Eh, that GOR is troublesome for them but if there is a will there is a way. And if more than one of them want out the collective leverage is better.

It likely won’t be overnight but I bet a dollar it won’t be until 2036.

If UNC has their choice between SEC and B10, I'd be stunned at a scenario where they don't choose the B10. They likely think the SEC is beneath them. UVA is the same way. Plus, it reunites Maryland, UVA, and UNC- charter ACC members.

I could be way off. But I just think if you have a choice when it comes to cultural fit, NCSU and VaTech are the better options.

If you go by the schools fan base then ncsu and vaTech are definitely more like a SEC school than the wine and cheese crowd.
