Oh I believe it's true. Just pointing out that the DM has made shite up on a number of times and their "reporting" is usually pretty horribly inaccurate.
Nick Saban did not leave Auburn to go to Alabama and Gene Chizik was never at OM.... for example

I've had enough class with football players to see this exact scenario in my head. I'm guessing fig was muffled by a "cough".

freshman football players are usually idiots
They were juniors and seniors supposedly.

pretty plausible scenario here
I agree that disturbances were made but the bit that pisses me off is that they are making up that they said "F**"

The Daily Mississippian probably interviewed a theatre geek that wanted to cause a shite storm and ran that part of the story because one person said it happened.
Okay

See the election "riots" last year.
That's all the DM's doing.

pretty sure other Ole Miss people are saying they were freshman.

You keep living in your little world and believe what the DM says if you want. The fact of the matter is, that part of the story has no credibility.

The players were there for a Theatre 201 class from what I heard.

Did Larry steal it from Lost Lettermen who stole it from the DM?

well i mean for now it's your word vs. the student paper. and i like you as a poster but you've had a history of kind of burying your head in the sand on here.

200 classes typically aren't off limits to freshman

Trust me. I'm more reliable.

Not going to disagree with that.
But you and I both know that any time any little inkling of something that could be considered intolerant at Ole Miss is blown way out of proportion, particularly by the Daily Mississippian.
That whole bit last year about there being riots on campus after the election? Yeah. The Daily Mississippian started that and they had one person go out there for 5 minutes then they wrote a story.

I mean I am seeing some things on twitter from people that were there that said the DM report is mostly inaccurate but like I said I still believe it was true. They would not of had to apologize to the cast and crew of the production otherwise IMO

I took 201 as a FR or So. You had to go to 2 plays throughout the semester to get credit for the class. Very few people went sober from what I remember.
I believe something happened but to the point where the play was about to stop? I dont believe it. Making jokes loudly to each other is more likely. Is that play etique no. Would that piss off the cast, probably so.

I weigh my past personal experience as an Ole Miss student for years more heavily than your visit with a friend for a few days. I appreciate that you recognize the fact that you were exposed to a very limited sample size, and that it's unfair to apply sweeping generalizations about everyone at Ole Miss based on your limited experiences.

The DM did get the part about their apology not being "real" right though. Supposedly it was just kind of "meh. sorry"
