Will UK guards be available Saturday?

No one knows for sure. But I think most suspect given Cal’s vague comments that he plans to sit Wheeler and Washington until post-season play.

But why? A chance to win the SEC outright? The way we are playing, a one game lead means nothing, especially with a trip to Nutsville this weekend?

I would think at this point, UK is looking more and more at being healthy for the tourney.

Hopefully, those guys get to rest and get healed up. A fully healthy KY team could really make some noise.

Makes sense. Was hoping they would play though.

If he sits them- I sure hope we win. That said, you’re good without them for sure I watched last night but just for my psyche.

We’ve had shite weather yesterday and some today - I hope it doesn’t impair the fans getting there.

ETA: did I mean impede not impair, I don’t know I just got up.

No, not playing till March now. Got to be healthy for the NCAA's.

We have 40+ SEC Championships at this point. Playing guys who aren’t 100% now means they’re not 100% for the NCAA Tournament. And that’s what matters.

At this point, Cal knows what type of team he has for March. An SEC regular season championship is cool but it’s not worth risking if they aren’t 100%

SEC Outright is pretty much meaningless at this point in the game when you have a final 4 team if they get healthy.

Yep, NCAA championships are the measuring stick. I think getting guys healthy for late March is the right move, even if there is short term pain.

I doubt we’ll see them again until the SEC tournament.

It seems barring a collapse UK will get a 2 seed. Maybe an outside shot at a 1 but they'd need some help ahead of them prior to conference tourney weekend. I think for them, having their guys 100 percent for the postseason is the play.

I say rest them until SEC tourney. No need to rush it.

It's absolutely the right thing to do for Cal and UK. And even though that might work to Arkansas' favor in this game, I always prefer a team to be at full strength when we play.

Believe that Wheeler will be back against Arkansas but Tyty not until SEC tourney.
