I mean, sure, but Texas also has quite a bit of “potential” that we could play up to as well. We have a tendency to play up and down to competition- that’s Herman football.
Our team has playmakers at every level and if Sam plays smart we could be in this. I don’t think it would be wise for the Bulldogs to walk into the Sugar Bowl and expect to win easily.
My prediction (as of today) is
UGA 27
Texas 20
And many good times will be had by all.

Close game at the half.
UGA goes up by 2 scores in the third quarter. Both teams trade scores in the 4th (relatively low scoring 4th).
UGA wins by 14. Stats are 1 sided to UGA (could've won by worse given time of possession, first downs, yards differential ).
Basically... the same as every game against the east this season.

Both these outcomes would be tolerable by me.

Texas could win.
Yea, we play them in basketball next month, they probably will win that game.

Agreed. We did a really good job of shutting down Bama’s passing game, but Texas’ WRs are different. The top 2 are massive human beings and then Duvernay is one of the fastest players I’ve seen in college. Texas doesn’t use him nearly as often as they probably should IMO.

This game is difficult to gauge.
It's either a Tom Herman upset special or a Tom Herman WTF special.

Texas is on the rise and they're going to be tough for you guys. They have dudes all over the field. I know you do too, and a shitload of them, but don't underestimate the Horns.

My guess is Texas = Mizzou, we still struggled a little but the game was comfortable all the way. The team had not gelled yet on o or d at that time.

I really hope the Bulldogs think of us as Mizzou.

I agree.

Are all the bookies dick riding UGA too since every major one has the game at a double digit spread in favor of the Dawgs?

We would spank mizzous arse just like we did last year.

Tom Herman's teams at Houston and Texas have been known to play down to competition and get up for big games. Georgia should win but it might not be a gimme. I'm thinking the ESPN prediction might be close to correct.
