My only worry for the Dawgs is, who is gonna be the qb that beats the shite out of everyone again. I really don’t have concerns.

Im interested to see if Beck has the same/similar ability to move on from the last play, regardless of its outcome, to the next play with confidence like SBIV. Its a rare trait but a must for an elite winner

Fully agree with this. You gotta get kicked in the stomach and shake it off. SC will be Beck’s test. How he makes UAB his daddy in a personal “revenge” game will be the confirmation.

They play Kentucky Tennessee Florida
I think Florida will be decent this year.
Stoops has a decent team year in year out
Tennessee is getting better but lost lots of talent.
Sure they have some weak out of conference teams but who doesn’t have a couple cupcakes.
Auburn should have a decent team this year as well.
Who does Clemson play besides FSU?
Sure South Carolina will be ready to dance with you as well but ACC has done that for years

It’s really not.

SC at home
TN on road
FL neutral.
Auburn on road.
Those are ACC quality in 2023. That’s it.

Damn. I’m used to the Cats being disrespected but not even ACC quality? I mean, hell, we’ve even got an ACC quarterback.

I am hearing that one quarterback might transfer out.

1. Not a problem

2. Absolute question mark

3. Bear? Bear could have developed into that, but he was not that yet. Who replaces Carter is the question? Probably don't have anyone like that, but we do have better edge rushers this year.

4. Lovett is proven and will be fine. Rara has gotten a lot of praise of late. Burton is not the talent everyone thought he was. It's obvious at this point.

5. I mean, yeah. Complacency is always the thing you fight in our situation. That wasn't the issue with SC. The issue was the lack of WRs that could make explosive plays and an OC that wasn't great at calling plays.

6? The RBs will be fine by the opener for the most part. Kendall didn't, but could have participated in the scrimmage, or so I've heard.

Didn’t know Okla was so particular about QBs looks. Guess everyone can’t be as respectful, well mannered and movie star like as that Mayfield guy. Lol. Talk about ugly

Haha! KY is ACC quality.
My point is that Florida, Auburn, TN are only ACC quality as of this year. Their better history’s mean nothing in 2023.

3) Who replaces the disruptive role on the D-line with Bear Alexander’a departure? His back-up didn’t get many reps, and Mykel Williams is prone to getting isolating by a mobile passing game. We don’t have a 300lb+ plug-n-play double-teaming gap plugger like JD/Carter/Bear

This ^^^ is my biggest concern.

"Disruptive" is a deceptive word.

We are a "no name" defense because we play 2 gap schemes to stop the run.

Bear wasn't great at this scheme. Yes, he was great at winning 1 gap. And he is gone.

UGA can dominate the trenches without first rounders on the interior DL because the box still has elite NFL playmakers (both at edge and ILB/S).

"How can we win without Jordan Davis at NT? The defense goes through the NT."
Well... we did.

"How can we win without Jalen Carter?"
Because we are upgrading NT, DE, and the ILB/S spots over 2022.
And the offense will be as explosive as 2022 (allowing more obvious passing downs for our pressures).

The portal doesn't open up again until Dec, so while that may happen it won't affect the upcoming season.

"Might" is a deceptive word. Lol
Every team has a backup who might transfer out.
UGA has done as good a job as any school keeping QBs bought in.

Reason 1)
2016 Greyson Lambert was game 1 starter and Jacob Eason took the job
2017 Jacob Eason was game 1 starter and Jake Fromm took the job
2020 Dwan Mathis was game 1 starter and JT Daniels took the job
2021 JT Daniels was game 1 starter and Stetson Bennett took the job.

Reason 2)
If Brock Vandagriff gets 2nd string snaps throughout the season and Beck has an opportunity to consider the NFL in the post season, why would Brock leave if there is a chance he gets the call after an injury in the playoffs or in spring practice?

Seems I found the one who can’t handle humor. Grow some thicker skin. Your team has won last 2 titles, why the concern about a ribbing that was posted on the twitters?

It’s a safe assumption.

Backup qbs don’t demand much money.

I said December 2021 that Stet was a top 5 QB in college football and would have 4000 yards and 35 TDs.

The 2023 offense has the best receiver collection in my lifetime (45 years old).
The OL will potentially be better.
Beck is a downfield thrower.
He has 2 (Arian Smith and Ladd McConkey) to push vertical and 2 (Bowers and Lovett) to be underneath weapons with huge YAC.
That is a recipe for an explosive offense (40+ppg).

If he leaves in December, he is passing up the opportunity to start in the playoffs (injury to Beck) or be the starter in spring (Beck goes to the NFL).
You don't think that would draw money to Brock Vandagriff?

I don't pretend to know A&Ms staff or roster.

The same can be said for Bama, LSU, Auburn, and Florida.

But I know a shite ton about the UGA Bulldawgs.
I know the strengths and weaknesses.

I know the question marks coming into the season (and our coaches do too. And they are damn good coaches, meaning that they are working like buzzsaws to correct and improve).

Beck is going to put up stats. With our roster and staff, it is almost impossible not to.

His question marks are 3rd down conversion and red zone conversion. Stetson Bennett lacked in both areas in 2021 and we won off the back of a dominant defense.
How will Beck be on 3rd down and red zone?
How good will the offense be surrounding him to where 3rd down and red zone are not limiting factors to putting up points (i.e. scoring from the 40 on 1st down).
How good will the defense be to not put pressure on Beck in the 4th quarter?

Understandable, but not sure he could play this year immediately without a waiver given the timing? He graduates after fall, so unless he takes over this fall for some reason, then he would be almost certain to transfer then.
