I know he was 89 and it was going to happen eventually, but I fell like a little piece of my UGA fandom just died today. If the Chapel Bell rope hadn't been broken from it being rung so much after the Kentucky win, I'd go ring it right now

Run Lindsay! Larry Munson the SEC thanks you!

he's arguably the greatest announcer in college football history

When I was little I would hear him on the radio and ask my Dad why Larry used the word "We" as if he was playing. "We got to hold 'em here" or "We need to get this 3rd down." Well, now I know that he was as much the heart and soul the UGA program as any of player or coach ever could hope to be. It was his team and always will be his team.
RIP Mr. Munson and we know you'll be watching us (and no doubt worrying) from above.

R.I.P. Larry Munson, one of the true legends of the game.
I grew up on John Ward for UT games.
The old saying is true that they just don't make then like they used to.

The best in the business. RIP Larry.
This has been a sad day in the SEC after such an epic weekend.

Fitting that he died during football season, he wouldn't have had it any other way.
