I haven't seen anything regarding UGA holding up Reese.

The NCAA is the NCAA. Occams Razor says that they are incompetent and work on their own undefinable timeline.

That said, a college sports radio broadcast said that some coach at ole miss was the same coach that got Reese's verbal commitment to Michigan. There was no accusation of tampering but explaining where Ole Miss came from as far as his destination.

That came from Otis himself. The NCAA wasn't granting the waiver because UGA was fighting something in the transfer.

I hadn't either until I started asking around about it. There's no other reason I can think of that Otis hasn't been cleared.

I mean is it possible? Sure. But I would still be surprised. Still, they cleared a whole bunch of people earlier, so....

Does the NCAA discuss this with [players they are making a ruling on? If so, I would think there was a huge conflict of interest.

Not sure. Otis' exact quote is "I have learned recently that UGA has opposed my waiver which is unfortunate considering what I was told when I attempted to leave last year."

Legit point. Maybe the irony is holding it up?

The laundry probably isn’t close to as dirty as you are imagining.

Reese claims he approached the staff about transferring during the season so no. Kiffin got hired at Ole Miss the first week of December.

Likely looks really bad to those on the outside but Stockholm syndromism to those going through it.

Otis was getting beat out of his position, so he decided he needed to transfer. The racist bit was a deflection from him getting punked. Plain and Simple.

I don't think there's any doubt that playing time was a factor for transferring. Doesn't mean his other reasons aren't valid.

In a way it does invalidate the other things. If they only matter because you are 3rd string, they don’t really matter.
