Chip Kelly is not a good fit imo for Florida at this particular time. Chip Kelly is not a family guy for one, and coaches today when recruiting are constantly selling the family atmosphere with recruits in the homes of their families. Florida has a culture problem that also begs for a coach to bring structure and mentor these young players to be good students and good people in life after football.
Winning is important, and Chip Kelly can certainly do well at Florida or wherever he chooses, but don’t bet on a guy who knows nothing about family like Chip Kelly to change the culture for Florida. Florida can do a lot better. Existing SEC coaches will be his worst nightmare, because they can sell recruits and family better than Chip Kelly.
