Auburn actually would be a really good option I think. Doubt it happens but that'd be my choice of a neutral site

Not an ideal situation but human life is more important than floridas precious homefield advantage. Tiger stadium at 11am with 30k in the stands will have a spring game atmosphere.

It doesn't matter to me but the SEC will probably move it to BR to maximize profits and get 50K in the stands instead of 20K if you move it to Auburn.

I've never seen a fanbase so scared of where they might have to play.

quote:There is a fuching cat 3 coming straight at Gainsville. You can be pissy about having to go to BR, but it would be moronic to play it in Gainsville. The destruction has the potential to be devastating. You gonna pull cops and employees away from people that need help to work a fuching football game?
Playing this game in Baton Rouge is bull shite. Straight bull shite.

You'd be pissed if you were in our shoes.
I guess you slept through 2005 when we were forced to move our OOC home game with Arizona State to Arizona State...
So we have every right to tell you all to just nut up, quit crying about it, bite the fricking bullet and take the safest route for everyone and move the damn game to Baton Rouge...

quote:Would it suck? Absolutely but I realize at the end of the day that it's football and it would be fuching stupid to put players and fans in that position. I would want to move the game somewhere besides Gainsville but I would rather the game be played in the swamp than not be played at all.

It's not being scared of playing in Baton Rouge, it's the fact that it's bullshite to play three straight years in Baton Rouge. That's bullshite. The hurricane isn't coming right at Gainesville you dumb frick, it's hitting off the coast of Georgia and South Carolina on Saturday. Well past Gainesville. There's a 30-40% chance of high winds on Saturday, but not a hurricane. In fact, it's not even supposed to rain on Saturday. Give it a rest you moron.

Nah, I'd still watch the game on TV and spend the rest of my time this weekend trying to get my house put back together.
Some shite is more important than a game.

The state of Florida is better prepared for hurricanes than the state of Louisiana. The damage done in Florida won't be nearly as bad as the damage was for Katrina or the tropical storm that hit Louisiana

Because as soon as a hurricane passes everything is back to normal for everyone.

I'm not saying that. But I am saying that Florida doesn't have as much damage after hurricanes because their infrastructure is better prepared to handle strong storms than the infrastructure in any other state.

Or maybe this is a totally different situation that shouldn't be viewed through the same context

When's the last time a Cat 3/4 had the eye hug the coast and dump all of that water from east side for 10 hours? I'm legit curious.
Posted on 10/5/16 at 12:17 pm to atlgator
So if the storm if off the coast of Georgia as you claim by that time, Florida will have all the debris cleared, all down power lines back up and everything else associated with a Cat 4 Hurricane back to normal in time for the game?
It's you that's the fricking moron...
