The projections have changed a lot in the last 24 hours. No one truly knows what this storm is going to do.
and that's kind of the point. these storms are unpredictable. sure the storm could make a turn and completely miss gainesville. but you have to make a decision before you're going to know that

how are you going to postpone it?
Move it to Sunday or Monday. The impacts would be known, of course there is some risk if they are greater than expected, but there is also the possibility they decide to move the game to BR and the storm never gets closer than 200+ miles to the coast.

why would Tampa work? UCF has already postponed their game in Orlando. If they move it to a neutral site it will not be in the state of Florida
It was just an example.

so you're suggesting moving the game to Sunday or Monday and then maybe still having to play in Baton Rouge if the effects are bad enough Saturday? You realize how difficult it would be to host an event like this with a a day or two notice? It's not possible. Please, for the sake of yourself, stop acting this dumb

It would be a couple of days notice if it were to be played this Saturday in Baton Rouge.
The storm passes Florida on Friday, we will know for certain the impact by then. However, more than likely we would a better idea Thursday when the models start coming into agreement and the effect will be better appreciated. It is just too early to make a call to move the game, IMO.

I think moving it to BR and then playing the next two in the swamp is fair enough. After that they could go back to the regular schedule.

won't happen. If it's moved to BR, the same set-up will happen in the South Carolina game last year: Florida will set ticket prices and all the money will go to them

Sorry, but no. This is last minute, short notice, and it won't resemble anything like a regular LSU home game in attendance or festivities. It's an emergency venue change which Florida will get the ticket proceeds to and that's that.

It's not even close to the same. I hate the circumstances but this will not be much of a home game for lsu. The longer it drags out the less fans will be there.

Is that some sort of SEC rule?

no, but that is what would happen in that scenario. honestly, wouldn't be terrible to adopt a rule, though, given this happened last year and may be affecting two games in the SEC this weekend. would make this decision process much easier

Starting to hear rumblings of the game being in Baton Rouge officially

If you don't move it, you risk the possibility of not playing the game at all

On our end we're hearing it's UF vs. the SEC/LSU.

LSU would play Greg Sankey at free safety IMO.

Hearing the same. BR area law enforcement and emergency medical service staff being lined up to work the game
