Umm, the Rose Bowl is not a great facility by modern standards. Terrible sight lines, look how far from the field fans sit...

...and the stadium is sixty to ninety minutes away from the UCLA campus in Westwood. UCLA actually tried to build a 44,000 seat stadium on campus, but that was blocked by influential neighbors in the Westwood area. Traffic concerns.

No thanks.

Will the delusional Florida fans admit their job isn’t as good as they think it is when they hire Taggart or Strong?

UF is one of the best jobs in The SEC and your saying UCLA is better ? Sounds like expect our conference to county to suck .

Florida is absolutely a better job. However, Chip Kelly is a west coast kind of guy and I could see him taking the UCLA job over Florida because he prefers the west coast, because he already has connections in Cali, and because it is far less stressful and easier to Win the PAC-12. Salary and location aren't going to be a problem for a guy that will make 3-4 million a year at a bare minimum.

Live in Los Angeles or live in Gainesville? That's really all that needs to be asked.

But if you need to press further we can - Play in a conference that you routinely slaughtered, or play in a conference which has shown it can beat you week in and week out?

Coach at a place where National Championships are expected by the fans, or to a place where a 10 win season and a Rose Bowl would have you crowned king?

Compare the football programs and sure UF is more "Prestigious", but that doesn't mean it's the best job.

It's relative, to be honest. It's not like we're comparing Florida to Western Kentucky. They are both P5 schools in areas dripping with college talent.

Unfortunately, we all look with a bias to the SEC, but to an outsider, the SEC may not be heads and shoulders above the Big 10, Pac 12, ACC, or Big 12.

UCLA could make a compelling case for its HC job against many (if not all) P5 schools.
