Well clearly they don't think so as evident by the pathetic contribution history.

Both, they support UA Athletic program over the years. Chech the difference in enrollment at UAB vs UA the last 30 years.
So you honest to goodness think UAB graudates (of which all are under the age of 55 considering it didn't even become a 4 year school until almost 1970) will all of a sudden stop giving to Alabama and Auburn and start giving to UAB? I won't even touch the medical alumni part as that is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard.
Seriously, you really think that?

I agree that current UAB students could somehow start a movement to support UAB. But the idea that all of a sudden people who have been giving money and buying tickets at Alabama and Auburn for 20 years are going to stop doing that and transfer those funds to UAB is.......well.......crazy.

All of my friends in undergrad who went to UAB Medical would
Everyone (Doctors included) wants to support their schools athletic program, if it is successful. As long as you can keep UAB down, those individuals who have "The University of Alabama....." on their degree will be drawn to that success. If they saw any success at UAB, the would migrate to the rest of degree title (....at Birmingham). Bama know this.

So UAB alums only want to give money to their school if it's for a football stadium? I'd bet 75% of UAB alums have never even been to a game.

So do you think they cant change or build a program, going forward?
Sometimes investments and shite just don't pan out like originally planned, you gotta cut bait and take your losses, not pour good money after bad to build something VERY few people give a shite about.

WHERE YOU WENT TO GRADUATE SCHOOL IS NOT "YOUR SCHOOLS" ATHLETIC PROGRAM.
Good grief man. People who spent 4 years at Alabama, Auburn, LSU or Tennessee are not going to drop their undergraduate alma mater and start rooting for and donating to the athletic department of their graduate degree school. That's just asinine.

Just trust him, the doctors that went to UA undergrad and UAB medical school are just salivating at the chance to drop UA and become full on UAB donors.
Wouldn't this mean all the Auburn undergraduates who went to UAB medical would feel the same urge? Or does the whole family thing prevent that?

I'm not sure Iron Puppets has ever been to UAB. He doesn't seem to get it at all.

This is seriously one the strangest prolonged arguments I have ever seen.

Well he said "all the UAB alums that contribute to Bama" so I foolishly assumed this was a stat he read somewhere.

The students who chose to go to an inner-city academically focused school are not looking for a typical SEC athletic college experience. They don't want it.
And that's perfectly fine.

Who is the biggest employer in the State of Alabama(not including Fed Gov)? Where do they live? How many do you think a UA Season Ticket Holders ? We are not talking about supporting the Universities General Scholarship Fund, but their Athletic Programs. I know it is hard for Bammers to differentiate.

Like I said. Its like talking to a truther. All evidence contrary to the truthers opinion is either ignored or dismissed but never countered. Any good conspiracy is fact if the conspiracy sounds good.

Wait, so now people who work at UAB and live in Birmingham are going to become UAB donors and season ticket holders and not Alabama ones?
Well dang, Georgia State is about to take over the State of Georgia in football.

When Fisher was ready to sign on as head coach uab boosters had checkbooks in hand ready to personally pay half the salary for him and his staff. Until the UA board said no uab could not hire there own coach even if they were paying his salary themselves.
Fact is uab students and alumni have rallied in the past and with checkbooks in hand. However the UA board still has final say so and they have actively thwarted ever attempt for UAB to build a really viable program.

They have one of the lowest contribution rates of any school in D1 football.
So, clearly they are ready to go.

You starting to see the light. Why do you think Georgia State started a football program. They are not going to take over the state and neither would UAB.
