If Greedy liked to tackle, he would have been picked tonight. That's the bottom line. That isn't Todd Mcshay's fault. Teams watch film and they make their own determinations on players.
You're just making excuses

That’s not entirely true. There are entire advisory councils that work on things like this. Since people like McShay are supposedly experts things that are heard from them are 100% ideas that get introduced through that in some way or another.

I think people question his commitment. He's not some transcendent talent than can skate by on talent alone, and if that's a concern, teams are going to be hesitant to invest a lot of guaranteed money in you with a 1st round pick. A lot of the actions he's taken this past year and after the season have given many the impression he may be selfish and not a "team" guy.

That’s kind of how I view it. If he could have shown a bit more character and willingness he could have been top 20 or maybe top 15, but the risk associated with his apparent attitude issues outweighed the talent in the eyes of the scouts I guess.

"DB is a very important position, get Todd Mcshay to make the pick for us"--- NFL front offices according to Terrific Tales

You clearly literally haven’t read anything I posted so have a good night sir and don’t let the trailer door hit you on the way out.

I also always got the impression that he had one foot out the door all season. And then he announced he was leaving within a couple days of the A&M game, and IIRC his coaches found out the same way we did, via social media. That's just not a good look and I'm sure NFL front offices took note of that as well. Of course he tried to walk it back after he received criticism, but it was too late by then. He's made many poor decisions. I don't know if he's received poor advice but he could and should have conducted himself much differently.

I agree with you. Deion Sanders didn't like to tackle, but he was Deion. You just don't pick Greedy in the first round

Didn't you just accuse someone of over using a line on a previous page??? Wow, you're not only delusional but a hypocrite

Absolutely. I think the concerns with attitude alone lushed him as far back as he was projected to go pre-draft, like early to mid 20s, and I think the rest was a combination of picks, trades, and concern with his tackling ability, which I felt was unwarranted. Just to give an idea of the spread of that stuff though

I still think he is/was a first round talent but he needs better advice or a good kick in the arse. He'll still get paid plenty of money but he has to be at least questioning some of his actions because they seemingly have cost him a lot of money today. Maybe he can use this as motivation to prove everyone wrong for that big 2nd contract everyone plays for.

For what it's worth, I don't think anyone should spend a 1st round pick on a running back anymore, but if one deserved it, it was Guice. I think he's going to be all pro if he can stay healthy

Yeah sucks he got hurt, especially making a very Derrius Guice run in the process, but I saw a video he posted last week and he was looking very sharp

I hope he comes back strong. He's fun to watch. He runs with an attitude and has heart. You can't coach that stuff

I think McShay is often swayed by players' ratings coming out of high school.

I think it is more his selfish attitude, though the being afraid to tackle thing definitely doesn’t help
