J'Mon Moore has a shoulder injury that doesn't sound good. He was a likely starter and our most consistent WR over the spring and our first scrimmage.

Johnathan Johnson. True FR WR out of Memphis, but he was almost assured of skipping a RS and being a contributor. He was showing off major skill in camp and could have been a break out player for us. Has a "severely" sprained ankle that might put him out long enough to force a RS.

Hate to see your 2* gritty players go down. Don't know how you'll replace them

Hope they have a speedy recovery. Injuries suck... no matter the team.

Bad news. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully they'll both make a full recovery and resume their careers without any residual issues.

Man this is not good news with only returning 11 catches from last year.

And for the families.

Def. They have to offer support during rehab and surgery if any is requires. Not to mention, it's just plain hard to see your kid hurt no matter the injury. Lots of parents don't watch or close their eyes when their kid has the ball. I can understand why.

Weren't you guys decimated at receiver last year too? I seem to recall it was a very bad situation.

Not really, we just had to replace all of our starters just like this year. Stayed pretty healthy though.

It was definitely sub-optimal. We looked to be a little ways on the way back before these two injuries. We need some guys to step up.

Any word on the severity of Moore's injury? Seems like Mizzou is getting hit at positions where they cannot afford it - DT (Brantley) and now WR.

Not yet. Doesn't sound good though.

I will say we are pretty deep at WR even if lacking experience.

The Brantley injury was a much bigger hit than either of these. We'll be in big trouble with any more injuries at DT.

How many WR's are left on the roster and where did these guys fit in on the list from best to worst?

Tough question, but I would probably say

Nate Brown SO
Wesley Leftwich SR
Desean Blair RS FR
Keyon Dilosa RS FR
Ray Wingo RS FR
Justin Smith FR
Emanual Hall FR
Thomas Richard RS FR
Richaud Floyd FR

Also have a walk on, converted QB Eric Laurent. Not sure where he fits in, but the coaches seem to think he can help and he is running #2 in the slot behind Brown for now.

Man ya'lls WR's are YOUNG!

How is Mizzou's OL? I know DL is going to be "down' but I am still expecting it to be good due to scheme and development.
