How is Mizzou's OL?

Very experienced.....we're doing the camp shuffle right now trying to find the right combo but we should be fine on the OL.

I know DL is going to be "down'

TBD.....probably not as strong as in the past but our LBs & DBs will be much better.

New DC that ran 3-4; don't know how much of the 3-4 we'll see but if our DL is a lot weaker we should see it quite often.

It's unclear if Moore was gonna get much time, but it looked like Johnson was on the fast track to burn his red shirt.

At a position with a lot of height and straight-line speed, Johnson's quickness and ability to make plays was unique.

Moore was no 2 on the depth chart and only for disciplinary reasons. He was going to play a lot. Likely would have taken back his spot after 5 catches and 105 yards in the scrimmage.

Johnson was going to play as well. I agree his skill set was unique, and I think he will be a star if he fully recovers (which he should). Wingo is a similar player though.

Is it official or at least somewhat official that both are out for the year? I hope not. This offseason has been far too brutal on many of us. Here's to better tidings.

No. They haven't set a timetable for either. It's likely Johnson won't play though because he still has a RS.

Thanks for the info. Would def. consider burning that RS if feasible. Sasser and et al provided a better base for Mizzou to work from at WR -- Sasser was a stud last year (as well as in limited action the year before). I know WR is less than ideal and maybe your coaches are thinking longterm (which I can both understand and respect) I'd just have a hard time leaving both on the table given the unit's issues.

Don't necessarily agree.....I think the ceiling for this group is sky high but may be a little painful in the short run.

Apparently Moore is day to day now which is odd. Both Moore and Pinkel's comments after the injury seemed much more cryptic.

Great news though!

Got Dammit... That's enough. Pinks should mandate that the remainder of the WR corp should dawn the red pullovers for the rest of camp.

OTOH, I'm hearing good things on true frosh WR, Justin Smith. He's 6'7" and runs like a gazelle. Dave Matter said he's Danario Alexander 2.0.

Want to borrow a five star we aren't using?

We don't have anyone to throw the ball to them anyway.

Moore is day to day, he'll be running routes w/ a red shirt on(obviously no contact for a while) so this shouldn't hurt him all that much. As long as he comes in and works hard when he's ready, he'll be in the rotation, it's not even a doubt.
