Hesitant upvote from a Bama fan that was pretty comical

An LSU fan is more likely to see LSU get shut out vs Alabama in the state of Louisiana than they are a win.
Which one of LSU's 10 home game wins in the past 100 years inspired you?

Don’t remember the year, but we beat Ole Miss. it was Archie Manning’s junior or senior year and the fans threw oranges on the field. Could have been the night we beat Norte Dame when Theisman was their quarterback. They beat us 3-0 in south bend the year before, and in that game Tommy Casanova score a TD after an interception and they called it back. That’s just two, or could be every time we place Rice. As a little kid listening to a stadium full of people screaming, “what comes out of a chinaman’s arse? RICE! RICE! It’s one of my earliest and fondest childhood memories. My mom fussing at my dad about his dad bring us to that game and us repeating that cheer when we got home. I can’t say I’ve ever been inspired by a game, but I have been to many very entertaining games. I seen Herschel Walker, Faud Reveys, Willie Gault, Wilber Marshall, just to name a few

Pretty good. But Who will cry for the little corn dog is an all time classic.

Ya know, most people wreck that 'Twas the Night Before homage with bad meter and major stretches to get a rhyme. I was expecting another worn out attempt that would fail miserably, but dammit, fella, you NAILED it!
WELL DONE ON EVERY FRONT, DAMMIT!

Thank you, sincerely.
But yes, I agree. It’s a heavily parodied poem and very accessible because it’s so well known but if you don’t respect the meter and cadence of the original and have natural rhymes, it can get ugly quick.
It took me a good half hour but I was satisfied with most of it and only had to make a few minimal edits, it flows nicely and it’s not overly long or dragging,
Really, thank you. It means a lot to get good feedback.

Thanks, but my voice is absolutely shot at the moment. I’ve been coughing and battling bronchitis for a month and it’s like sandpaper. I’ll do a better recording when I heal up, or if anyone else wants to, have at it. I’d love to hear how other people read it

Well, it's much better than crying corndog poem that Alabama fans used to post, I'll give you that.

Could it be a thief? A burglar or arson? A scared Jimbo Fisher? A drunk Bryan Harsin?
In the light of the moon, With my one eye I spied, A big crimson bus, And the sounds of “Roll Tide”
And then what to my, Wondering eye would appear, But a miniature man, With his eyes full of fear.
Well his hair it had thinned, And he scowled like a prick, But I knew in a moment, It must be Ol’ Nick,
How are you so good at this?

I just pay attention, to meter and rhyme,
So my stanzas are tight, and my words come on time,
I find the right rhymes, nothing awkward or forced,
And some clever wordplay, to be funny of course,
When it comes to humor, it is my belief,
If you want to he witty, it’s best to be brief.
