In order for TA&M to get their field ready, they dragged out pumps. Why the need for portable pumps? Why were both left and right field water?
Drain it right instead of calling a fire truck.

Quality response there. I'm betting it took you a while to come up with that.

It was a question of your stupidity.
Which was obvious… except to a retard.

It looks cheap and shitty. That’s pretty much it.

You're too fricking stupid to realize what you typed. But keep on going with your quality assessments. Reading your posts, you aren't highly intelligent which is why you think "retard" is an insult.

God, I love it when a retard does retard things without realizing it.

So you don't realize what you're doing?

Turf fields make more sense for HS teams without grounds crews or for facilities that host lots of summer/travel ball. A SEC-level college team having one? Joke.

The main problem for the hs level is the cost. It's more to turf a baseball field than it is football due to more square footage. Right now it's about 3-5 million to turf something like that then the resurfacing every 10 years or so is another 1-3 million. It can be a hard sell on bond to get something like that. Several schools around me though have just turfed the infield to save on cost. The problem with the is getting the OF grass and infield even. That can be a huge problem if the field is has any grain to it at all.

Keep trying. At some point it will make sense to you.

If playing in the South, any SEC squad should be on grass. If in the UK, TN, MZ area north turf has advantages given the colder weather and longer winter seasons.

I feel like the season starts too early. Baseball in February and early March is miserable. Cold weather baseball sucks arse. It would be nice if it was started a month later.

So you would have Omaha in the middle of July? NB is plain miserable weather that time of year.

What grown adult uses “retard” as a supposed insult?

My coach always said block it anyways, we'll pick up your teeth after the game.
Why are you being a woman right now?

Didn’t realize that Oklahoma had an all turf baseball field till tonight. With Oklahoma and Texas joining the SEC, we can add them to the list of schools that have turf fields.
While you “traditionalist” don’t like turf baseball fields, they are becoming more popular thought the country. Having turf fields has many advantages that you simply don’t get from natural. Tennessee is one of the schools that elected to switch to turf once they hired Vitello as it was his request. Vitello rather have turf fields than natural.
Now you see bigger high schools going to all turf baseball fields also. Other than being a traditionalist, what is the big uproar about not liking turf fields?
Tennessee-all turf, except the mound areas
UK- Turf
Vandy- Turf
OU- Turf
Texas- Turf
Mizzou- Turf
Who else in the SEC had turf fields?
Maybe try who has had turf toe?

Also, not every ball is hit at 100 mph. Teams that small ball have to make an adjustment at the plate. It's harder to deaden a bunt on turf.

They got a full 6 inches of rain in 2 hours before the game. It overwhelmed the draining system.
They were still playing 90 minutes after the rain stopped. And it played fine - not like that football field in Mexico City when the Cowboys went down there and their cleats were pulling up hige swaths of grass.
