Maybe so, but Mizzou under Gates doesn't talk trash more than any other team. In fact Gates punishes players for doing it.

This female announcer his horrible on the Arkansas-LSU game. She is sitting here saying just off the wall random shite.
Then the ref clearly states that LSU committed a flagrant 1, Arkansas will shoot 2 free throws and Arkansas will get the ball on the sideline. Then she starts going off “ARKANSAS SHOULD GET THE BALL! NO HE SAID LSU WOULD GET THE BALL!!”

It creates a more interesting product so I'm happy they do it but it seems to me that SEC officials allow a lot more contact on defense than other conferences. Probably won't matter in league games but might be interesting to monitor in the postseason if there is a tighter whistle.
