Everyone's waiting on Sessions. If he wants his seat back it's as good as his.

Which says all you need to know about Alabama voters and why things never change here.

Which is not a negative. He was respected as a senator. The name of the game is seniority. He and Shelby were 1 of the most powerful Senate duos chairing powerful committees and bringing billions back to the state.

Tubs isn’t well-received by a huge part of the state.

Before Saban, maybe. But I do not know many that still hold a grudge. Remember we voted for a Yankee from NY by almost 70% of the voting population.

I just don’t think it’s is worth the risk of having a candidate that a large part of the state wouldn’t be excited to vote for if we are serious about ousting Doug Jones.

I would suggest, you hope that LSU never loses another game in any sport. The repercussions after months of trolling and flaming from Bama fans alone, might be severe. It's an interesting case study, do you get away with it because you're a fan of LSU ? Will you disappear after a loss, become a Clemson fan again, or do something to get banned, which I'm beginning to see as highly unlikely ?

Based on Doug Jones voting record since going to the Senate, Roy Moore could beat him. I do not understand who is advising him or what they have promised him, but he has alienated most of the Alabama voters with siding with Chuck and Nancy.

I suspect that Jones and his people realize that getting reelected will damn near be impossible. He can't go "right" or the DNC will pull support ($$$) and he's gonna get beat if he doesn't anyway, so....

The guy should have never got the seat anyways so he may as just roll with the Dems while he’s in it.

I'll say one thing for Tubs that will help him in my town. We had a man pass several years ago (Johnny Poole) that was a special person that went on a lot of the AU talk shows, there WAS no bigger Auburn fan nor a more beloved figure in this community.

Johnny touched a lot of lives here and when he passed Tubs took time to come to the church and speak at his funeral. That meant a lot to the people here and that is how you play the political game.

I despise liberals, but despise "conservatives" even more. What do they actually conserve, besides conquered Israeli territory? Today's conservatives are worthless and will always let the Left set the rules of the debate. They will always be on the defensive, trying to prove they aren't racist or anti Semitic, or blah blah blah.
