I say True.

Kirby Smart had a lucky year. He won’t sustain the success and recruits will notice. One bad year and he’s done.

While Mullen may lead Florida to multiple championships due to his proven ability to coach QBs. Florida’s current expectations are low right now, so I feel Mullen will last much longer at Florida than Smart at Georgia.

You probably thought UF would beat UGA last year.

If Dan doesn't win an SEC championship in 3 years he will be gone and if he doesn't beat Georgia in 3 years he will be gone also.

I doubt Kirby leaves UGA the same way Urban left UF.

Mullen will be there as long as Florida will have him. He's never been coveted by other programs.

There is a better chance that Smart leaves Georgia.

But, there is 3x the chance that Mullen flames out than Kirby does.

The only possible chance this happens is if Kirby wins a National Championship or two in the next few years and an NFL team hires him.

Mullen has choked in every big game he has been in. I am still surprised UF hired the hunch back

So all of a sudden, Mullen is a Gator through and through?

Let's disregard the comments by his wife.
Disregard the multiple attempts at coaches by UF over the years and not grabbing Mullen (Mullen paid attention).

Face it. Mullen is an employee.
At the end of the day, his relationship at UF will always be as such.

Smart is not only a UGA alumni. He is also the longest tenured Saban alum to stake a claim in the SEC. He was there at Bama when Saban built the program. He was there to see it sustained. He himself was a huge recruiter for the Tide. Now, he's bringing his own version home to the Dawgs.

The only question for Smart is if he can replace coordinators as well as Saban. The initial hires are great. But the real magic will be in churning the coaching staff. It will be a long time before Smart could screw this up to the point of being fired. 2 more OCs at a minimum. That is virtually 5 or 6 years.

I don’t think so. Georgia has always had quality recruits and is a feeding ground for talent. Difference is, Kirby seems like he is able to get over the 10 win hump that Richt could not. As well, he makes sound football game decisions, and Richt has many scratching their heads.

I’m very interested to see how both coaches do, and that is coming from a football fan in general.

False. Dan is a Yankee and will eventually fly North when the opportunity knocks. Even us State fans have been saying that long before he left.

Mullen will leave for ND when they’re done with Kelly.

Or Michigan when they’re done with Harbaugh.

Or Ohio State when Urban steps down

A good hook has at least some semblance in fact.

Yours hooks are total utter fantasy. Frickin awful.

I say False.

Is Mullen UF alumni? Because Kirby is UGA alumni.

Does Mullen have the recruiting base, basically uncontested, in his state that Kirby does? Answer: No (I understand Kirby has to recruit against Bama, Auburn, Clemson and South Carolina but still ... so does Mullen in FSU, Miami, Auburn, Clemson and South Carolina.)

Is Florida trending up? Not yet. Is Georgia? Absolutely.

Did Mullen bring a staff together on par with Kirby's in terms of recruiting, player development, youth and reputation? Answer: No

Are UF's facilities on par with UGA's already? I know Florida is finally starting to build and upgrade ... but so is UGA and, right now, UF is behind almost everyone in the East except Mizzou and Vandy.

Does UF have some optics issues right now? Answer: Yes. McElwain left Mullen in far worse shape than Richt left Kirby. And the issues at Florida are even deeper than that at the moment.

Is Mullen a gold coach and will he get UF back on track? Yes ... and maybe. He's a good enough coach, he proved that at MSU, but he's gonna have a hard time winning The East any time soon and UF fans are not going to be happy about that.

That's the bottom line really but there is also the schedule aspect to note ... UGA probably has the easier scedules over the course of the next five years.

Both play LSU and SC this coming ... Georgia has Auburn but UF has FSU every year (and I know a lot depends on how Willie does there) and UF also has LSU every year (and a lot depends on how Coach O does there) so, looking ahead we have got to think Florida will have the tougher schedule over the course of the next five years.

Conceivably Mullen may not win even an East title in five years. We cannot say the same thing about Kirby at UGA.

So I say false.

No way. UF is far more trigger happy than UGA. Standards are higher. Fanbase is more demanding.

From the other side, Kirby is easy to read, he's clearly at his dream job and he couldn't be more comfortable and happy. Dan is harder to read, a bit more self-conscious and reserved, no idea if/when he might get itchy. He's not totally comfortable/happy anywhere

Any way you look at it, it's gotta be false
