It's kind of amusing watching OM & Mizzou argue over who is 3rd and 4th in the sec but kind of sad also....I guess it's a big deal when you haven't won an sec championship.

I don’t think many Ole Miss fans have a problem with who is ranked where, it’s more of a concern for a flawed system.

Again, what is valued? Resume or eye test? What is valued on a team’s resume? Do early season wins mean less than late season? These are questions that need to be answered before the season begins.

My main concern is how this translates to next year for the sake of the sport as a whole.

Thank you. If you're not the conference champion then who cares. But when it comes to Mizzou, there is a handful of SEC fans who have a hard time with the notion that Mizzou could field a better team. But I have noticed Bama, UGA, UF, LSU, MSU, Tennessee and SC fans usually don't. Those fans usually keep it about their teams success or lack of success, but they are confident enough to give Mizzou their credit.

Not really debatable. Mississippi has many rivers (and other water features). All are superior to whatever waterway might bear your state's name.

I doubt many Ole Miss fans have an issue with the notion of y’all having a better team. Y’all have showed more success and promise than almost every team in the East. Pretty clear from our side of history too considering we have a hard time beating you guys.

The concern lies with the committee not your football team.

The Missouri River is like a second urine stream when you pee.

That’s exactly what we should do. Literally any concrete rules would work. It could be a single metric, it could be a combination. The key is that is consistency and transparency.

There should not be a human element dictating these things in the middle of the season. Narratives, money, and bias affect human decision making.

Look at the conferences, look at the NFL, look at high school. The rules are set before the season and there is never any controversy.

Nobody has an issue with Iowa being in the Big 10 championship game because THEMS THE RULES

I get what you're saying. But the NFL has a high number of teams that make the playoffs, especially relative to the total number of teams. They also have parity.

In theory I'd be good with AI making these decisions.. when it's ready. The hated "eyeball test" is still superior in 2023. In a few years it'll be different. Especially if the top 40 teams break away from the NCAA

Disagree. Since I can tell you from experience on BOTH, the Missouri is cleaner, longer, and just better.

Every one responded to by a "kansas" fan on a SEC Sports forum.

This weird Mississippi/missouri feud is lame

This is the picture of irony....a kansas dude claiming something else is lame.

Even more ironic....kansas is not ranked.

kansas sucks. They are the infected mole on an elephant's arse and the stinch of a baboon's rectrum.

I never said it didn't.
Also, even though it is probably the only way Mizzou ever could play in the playoffs, I think 12 is too many. The regular season barely counts for anything, and we are going to get even more boring regular season games if the commmittee isn't going to weigh schedule difficulty adequately.
