Chamber of Commerce paying you to say that?
Is that an option?

Haven't been back. Is it really that bad now?

NC sucks! More than 1/3 of I95 through the state is under construction. Rest area at approximately 100 mile marker is closed for a remodel. Born there, lived in Raleigh for 4 years, got the hell out of that crap. Refuse to stop there other than a pit stop, not spending a dime in that state.

That’s super unfortunate for those of us who live in North Carolina. With your well-composed argument and reasoned analysis, you are obviously an ultra-wealthy business titan. I wish you would reconsider spending money in NC. Perhaps you could start small, maybe at a Sonic.

North Carolina blows Virginia out of the water. Have lived in both.

At least they believe i95 isn't supposed to be a 2 lane interstate, unlike their southern counterpart

Odd post. I’ve visited Charlotte a handful of times and it wasn’t bad. Kinda non-descript downtown but it wasn’t shitty by any means.

The Sylva/Dillsboro area with fly fishing in Cherokee, the Tuckasegee River, Innovation Brewing, Haywood Smokehouse, the Blue Ridge Pkwy, Western Carolina University makes for a pleasant area.

You have to keep in mind, to most folks on this site, this is pretty much heaven:

Maybe, but what's wrong with that?

Aside from the dumpy decaying buildings, lack of opportunity, and dwindling population of sad aimless people slowly killing themselves with drugs and alcohol to shorten their time on this Earth as their only way out of their aimless pointless lives of quiet desperation?

Nothing, I guess.

It went downhill fast, then brother.

Every bar and restauraunt in the city had homeless people in the way and put signs up stating that the bathroooms were locked. The Central Park in Charlotte was lock-in-gate (looked like a Baseball Field), and kids were asking grown men where they could pee.

They Greyhound Station was the nearest place.

Ask me any other questions. I am not trying to attack you, Brothers.

It wasn't great.
