More pertinent: why would Chambliss do anything except go pro ?

I haven’t heard of any NFL pundits talking about his pro potential. He would also make significantly more money here than he would for the first year or two in the Pros unless he went top 10(that’s a very conservative guess)

I’ll file suit to play another year on a new shitty Ole Piss team so I can really lower my chances in the draft. Amazing what an Ole Piss edumacashion teaches you these days.

I hope he wins.

Beck is in his 7th year.

TJ Finley is about to be at his 7th school with no end in sight regarding his eligibility. There isn't any consistency from the NCAA and it doesn't take an attorney or judge to see that.

Side note: has Tom Mars ever lost a high profile case?

Everything I've read so far seems to agree that there is no actual precedent for a player in his position receiving a waiver, which explains your hesitation to actually answer the question.

It also seems to confirm my suspicion that Ole Miss is just throwing everything against the wall and hoping something sticks.

File in judge friendly selected Mississippi Court, get an injunction, tie it up in court long enough to let him play next year, move on. Standard liberal playbook. Didn’t know Ole Miss swung that way.

^^That^^ could be a winning argument in court.

I think they still have the Trent Lott School of Leadership or something like that.

Seems like they had Chambliss sign a contract to return next year and are planning to argue that the NCAA is interfering with the execution of the contract.

Like they already are? They just granted Noah Kim (QB) an 8th year. Finley is on his 7th.

Year 6, right? He was class of 2020 and had the Covid year and a RS, IIRC.

He's applying for a 7th year, I doubt he gets it though.

I thought he had 2 years left of eligibility going into this season.

But who the hell knows??? I don't even think he nor whatever college he goes to next knows. The guy has been in college longer than Tommy Boy.
