Found this in a 2012 article *Chizik awarded three walk-on scholarships: running back Corey Grant, defensive back Trent Fisher and snapper Jake Lembke. “All three of those guys have done a great job here,” Chizik said.
I don't know what that means exactly, but it sounds like Grant had been there as a walk-on without a scholarship, at least for some time.

Odds are yes he will end up at AU. Not totally sure yet.

Fans are starting to realize that not only does Auburn recruit incredibly, but they also get any transfer they want. Mike Blakely, Corey Grant, Tray Matthews and Austin Golson.
