who? Trey Johnson? Not even close. 2013 class in Georgia is going to be simply stunning. Probably the most elite talent in a long time.

He was talking about Foster. But to say Trey is not even close is stupid. He's a lock to be Top 50 nationally and Top 5 in Georgia

I am not sure I would call him a lock. He is a good player no doubt and will certainly be in the upper echelon in the state, but I just don't see a player that is a "lock for top 50 nationally" to be evaluated twice by Grantham and not even offered, even if he doesn't exactly "fit" the defense.

So Gratham not offering means he's not that great, got it. Let's just ignore the coaches from Auburn, Alabama, Florida, FSU, Tennessee, Clemson, Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio St, and USC.

OOS coaches can offer in a scatter shot manner without too many repercussions. Instate coaches have to be a little more selective. Which is why UGA will offer some Bama players that do not have offers from Auburn or Bama. Not saying he isn't a good recruit. Just saying that top 50 locks usually get offered even by instate coaches fairly early.

Wait...explain why you can be less selective when offering an OOS kid. Your theory doesn't make sense to me.

Simply because you can end up rejecting an out of state guy that you offered later on without as many longterm repercussions. You are more likely to have to go back to instate schools year after year. For example, UGA coaches had to kiss some major Columbus arse to make up for the Burns affair a few years ago. I don't know, maybe other states' head high school coaches aren't as sensitive as Georgia's, but believe me these parochial maharajahs take every little thing as a perceived slight apparently.

Really like the kids size. He reminds me of Justin Garrett from this past class.

Yep, might as well start talking about state of Georgia 2013. Like I mentioned, the depth of truly elite talent in that class is just unreal.

Yea, I don't get that comment.

Bama has 3.
Auburn has 2.
LSU has 1.
UGA has 4.
Ole Miss has 1.
Arkansas has 1.
UT has 1.

Johnsons offer list speaks for itself. I know the rankings are a long ways off but as of right now he looks like a top 25 guy.

Also, R Foster is a lock for the top 10 when the rankings
go up 8 or 9 months from now. 247 sports staff said he would likely be the top linebacker if he was part of the 2012 class. Pretty sure he will be in the top 30 in 2013

Congrats on the 2nd best 2013 LB in GA

The top two linebackers in Georgia having committed to Auburn and Bama, they can be assured now that they have both completely eliminated themselves from any consideration for the 2012 AJC Super 11.

I wonder why UGA hasn't offered this guy.

Because UGA has the way they do things.

I don't know why that doesn't include early offers, especially for top-notch instate blue chippers.

But that's the way UGA does it.

The kid has as legit an offer list as it comes and his HS coach has stated that he's already made a good score on his ACT, so all he has to do at this point is graduate. So its not a lack of talent nor is it academics that has prevented UGA from offering the kid.
