re: Jeremy Johnson to AU

Posted by wardon on 5/21/12 at 12:32 am
While Johnson will need to fix his mechanics, the talent is there. AU likes him so much that they will not sign another QB for 2013. Interesting that he is same size as Cam when he was a HS Jr-

re: Alexander and Elston = Package Deal?

If Elston was coming to LSU he woulda prolly visited last weekend? Instead he stayed home. Kwon seems to have a valid offer from bama now?

re: Kwon Alexander question?

Posted by wardon on 1/29/12 at 11:28 pm
Been reported that Trey Elston did not visit BR, but stayed @ Oxford this weekend?? Lot of folks now saying Kwon to Bama, must have a couple of non-qualifier commits for him to have a slot? Not really a 3-4 LB, or did Nick just want to keep him away from LSU/AUB??

re: Trolls on Kwon and other commentary

AUB fan here, news about Kwon is confusing. No room @ FSU, needs to play OLB in a 4-3. Would have to greatly improve coverage skills to play safety but speed is great IF he completely recovers from ACL. Some strong talk about Tre Elston & Kwon as package to LSU, but surprised Miles would do that. Has shown interest & visited AUB, locals at his town would be shocked if #1 LB in ALA accepted greyshirt to UAT. Anybody have new info to hint where Kwon is headed?? Thx

re: Is Gus flipping AU recruits?

No commits leaving AU for Ark St. OL Flint only commitable offer was from non-SEC schools. Maybe u talkin about Dyer? AU hoping to close with a few more big dogs, have a small chance with C Patt. Good OT is big priority-
Diggs is having a great time on OV @ AUB this weekend, according to tweets sent out early Sat am-
Losing his LSU recruiter also had an effect:
Ultimately though, it appears that a culmination of circumstances led to the shocking announcement in Jan. '12 that Miller had switched his commitment to AU, already enrolled in school, and had attended his 1st class all in the same week. Those "circumstances", as it turned out included the fact that the LSU staff had ultimately had too many players for their 2012 class (including Miller) who wanted to enroll early for their Spring semester. Apparently, Miles and Co. asked Miller and his family if they would mind paying their own way for that 1st semester, so that they could get around the rule that would prevent them from providing scholarships for all their "early enrollees. Add to that the fact that Miller's main recruiter from LSU, receivers Coach Billy Gonzales, who had been recruiting him for 2 years, abruptly left Baton Rouge to take the OC position at Illinois. All of this, plus Miller's original strong feelings toward Auburn, his future teammates, and coaches led him to make the switch.
Very strange that LSU would take a two-star LS as EE over a four-star OL. Also is it fair to tell a kid that heis LSU #1 OL commit, then ask him to pay outta-state tuition for a semester??? AUB entry requiremts cost us the # 1 juco OL (Latu) so really doubt grades were an issue-
Couple of their commits are not gonna make it, incl Gladney-
Two important factors will determine where he goes; 1- His mom wants him to stay close to home & this may send him to OM, and 2- Supposedly the OM coach has offered a package deal with his walkon bro getting a scholly if he stays @ Oxford-

AUB will also have a new DC, and one asst goes with Gus to UNC???
This kid just broke Ted Roof's tackling record at his HS, as a soph- No wonder Roof is his recruiter-

re: Rivals Team Rankings Released..

Of the top-ten rated teams, Aub has least number of commits. How many will LSU sign for 2012, as AUB will likely sign 24-

re: Storm Johnson leaving Miami...

BLAKELY BURNED HIS BRIDGES W/AU AFTER VERBALLY PROMISING COACHES HE WAS COMING AND THEN BACKING OUT-

re: Gabe Wright

Posted by wardon on 2/2/11 at 12:49 pm
Wright committed to AU. We now have Top 3 DB Class, # 1 OL Class, Top 5 DL Class. AU-LSU games will be monster for next few years. RB/LB Calloway flipped back to Bama, go ahead with money accusations but how about some facts one day??

re: Auburn commits how many can the take?

Posted by wardon on 1/27/11 at 6:29 pm
OL Shon Coleman is a highly-rated OL that signed in 2010, but became very ill and did not enter school till Jan 2011.AU is asking NCAA for waiver to count him towards 2012 cause he will need that time to recover enough to play, if he ever does play. That reason combined with 22 Sr leaving means AU will prolly sign 27 plus leave a spot for oleman in case NCAA denies waiver. Hope to finish w/Wright, Florence, OL and Roberson, or a surprise replacement- Will need a great 2012 Class to be even with LSU talent-

re: Westerman committing to AU question

Posted by wardon on 1/21/11 at 5:54 pm
With the high recruits coming to AU, ALA & LSU, the SEC NC representative could come strictly from the SECW for next three years-
While Chizik did have an in-home w/Collins last night, don't see him leaving LSU. Not sure on Drew, but have to remember he is in tight w/FCA guy @ Aub-
Gotta believe AU does get Florence, Wright and one more OL-

Will LSU Take OL Region?

Posted by wardon on 1/13/11 at 12:27 am
War Eagle, just wondering if LSU will sign OG S. Region. Monster 6'5 340 orig committed to Bama but was told to hold off. Then he committed to AU but later withdrew saying he wanted to play in pro-style. Now says he is down to UGA, Wisc & LOSU. Will you take this kid from Cullman AL?? BTW, Drew is 50-50 UGA AU, Frost may take a greyshirt offer from Au, with chance for better if other commits fall thru-

re: Ray Drew = Beast!

Posted by wardon on 1/9/11 at 2:10 pm
Drew wants to play in a 4-3, and the fact that UGA runs a base 3-4 "is a problem," says Drew. While he may stay home with the Dawgs, don't rule out Drew signing with Aub- We only have a few slots left, and are saving one for Drew. High rated recruits are now recruiting Aub-High character kid that would make any school proud-

Lake Martin, located just twenty min from Auburn, was recognized as one of best places to retire by NY paper- Incredibly clear water with thousands of half-mil residences- When constructed was largest man-made lake in the world. Before closing the dam all timber was removed from below waterline. Includes sections where water cut thru rock @ original river area so that depth can be 100' just 50 feet from shore. Cabins/townhomes for rent on gameday weekends for you to consider?
