You fail to mention the stupendous frickup by Kiffen. Letting an injured player try to kick aint a good call. Remember, tn had the ball with 3rd down still there to pick up a 1st down.

In retrospect, we could have tried to get closer. But normally if you can get into that position as a team you have a chance to win, and I understand why he didn't want to risk a fumble, a pick, or a penalty when we were technically in Lincoln's range.

Our 49 yard attempt before the half ended actually was a good kick that fell just short, so maybe Kiffin thought Lincoln had one more in him. If he'd made that kick (the one before the half) from the position he was in at the end of the game, it would have been good.

Based on what?

They have similar stats. People quote the stats but then throw them away when it goes against their argument.

They both anchor some of the best 3-4 defenses at their level.

Teams average 2.82 yards a carry versus Alabama. He's doing his job. It's like saying a great run blocking tight end is worthless because he doesn't show up on the stat sheet. Teams get 2.82 yards a carry on Alabama and he's an All-American voted by people who have much more football knowledge than the typical 17 year old flamer on here.

Maybe because Casey Hampton plays in the NFL and Terrence Cody plays college football

Let's take a look at Casey Hampton's college career..
quote:

He became the first defensive lineman to lead the team in tackles two consecutive seasons (1999-2000) and recorded 329 tackles (177 solos) to rank 11th on the school's all-time list. Hampton registered 56 quarterback pressures and caused nine fumbles in his college career. In 1998 he was named the team's Most Consistent Defensive Player and started every game. That season, he recorded 60 tackles (29 solos) with two sacks and eight stops for losses and registered six quarterback pressures, five pass deflections and recovered one fumble. He also appeared in three games in 1997 before being granted a medical redshirt but played in every game as a true freshman in 1996, starting six at nose guard and recorded 77 tackles (51 solos), one sack and seven stops for losses. In his freshman season he also had three quarterback pressures and a forced fumble.

Casey Hampton was playing in a 4-3 in college next to Shaun Rogers. In the NFL he switched to a 3-4 NT. In the NFL he's primarily been a run stopper and 2 down player. Hampton wasn't exactly put in position to be double teamed every down in college like he is in the NFL.

I'm going with holding Lee to 9 yards and an INT in the 4th quarter.

Hey, Tennessee, the shittyness of your kicker will forever be immoralized in paintings. So far, two artists have painted the "Cody Block".

Mt. Cody

I actually like Gamble's better than Moore's.

"Those kicks were'nt Six Feet off the Ground"

Who's fault was that? Cody's?
Did you see how high Julio jumped behind Cody? He must have jumped 4 Foot plus he's 6' 4" so go figure. Give me a break....

RTTde2, I agree about the height of the flight of that ball and great analogy of Julio's jumping abilities....

And who in the fcuk is Trevor Beavage anyway? I did a little search on him and he didn't even show up on ESPN?

I'm going with a spear to the chest that was not called. A clear as day block in the back . Moving the ball 6 yards for running into the kicker. Oh and of course the PP int.

5 and should have been 15 since contact was made while the leg was in the air in my opinion.
