He says the BCS has been around as long as the NCAA. Interesting.

Little wonder he became a dad at 15 and scored a 15 on his ACT.

It's safe to say he will not be following in Greg McElroy's footsteps as a Rhodes Scholar.

This doesn't actually bother me all that much. This information is obvious to all of us because we love college football. But some athletes just play football and don't really pay too much attention outside of that. While one would think he might've picked up this info somewhere along the way I'm not all that surprised it passed him by.

Also, because it in know way affects a player's game.

Let's be real he ain't getting paid to go to Tuscaloosa (paid in scholarship, room, board type way) for his knowledge bro......he is getting paid to bring and display his football talents in Tuscaloosa.

Which haters in here can even name the systems that pre-dated the BCS?

We would have loved him at LSU...I know I was hoping the rumors of a change of heart at the 11th hour were true.

What's dumber, a 20 year old football player not knowing about the BCS, or a 20 year old football player not knowing who Bear Bryant is?

I seem to remember the latter being a real point of contention among Bama fans on here.

Admittedly, it isn't THAT difficult to obtain a 3.0 or better GPA. Hell, I did it.

Your average SEC player probably couldn't tell you much about the history of college football though. I doubt most of them even enjoy watching football all that much.
