I've got a feeling that this guy starts making an impact in the league in his second year.

As impressive as his workout was he still has to prove he can take a snap from center and read a defense. Second year may be pushing it but if he figures out NFL defenses look the frick out.

you Auburn fans are ridiculous.

What was the point of this work out? The fact that it even existed and scouts couldn't be there is a joke and indication of what an idiot his dad is. Is he a beauty queen? I don't get it.

Dilfer did win a superbowl but if you go back and look at his numbers you'll see just how bad he was. It was Marvin Lewis's Defense that did everything, they went 5 games that year without a TD in a row! He was awful!

good analogy but dating the D would the model, you'd be dating the fat ugly cousin.

We don't need a Jason Campbell 2.0, we're all set! Keep him away from Washington!

Isn't Dilfer's opinion very well respected? And he's a renowned tough critic on all players. If Newton secured his praise, that's a sign that he rocked the workout.

I expect he opens some eyes at the combine.

Cam is too good for the Redskins.

The Fins need to trade up and finally get a franchise QB. Damn I would be happy if they did. Prob go buy season tickets the next day.

He is not Jason Campbell 2.0. Just because he came from auburn means nothing. He's 2 inches taller than Jason and much quicker on his feet. Better accuracy and better decision maker. He is a much better prospect than Jason was. However, I don't want him in Washington either with that pitiful franchise. Until they get an OL up there and stop overpaying for half their team, they might actually have a shot. Until then, I'd rather cam go to the bills than the redskins.

He's a run first quarterback and is great at the COLLEGE game. He's never been tested against teams dropping 7 or 8 into coverage because they always feared the run and had to bring 7 or 8 in the box to try and stop him.Anybody who knows anything about football knows that won't be the case in the NFL. They are bigger, stronger, and faster and will equalize his skills quickly.

Cam is bigger, stronger, and faster than the VAST majority of college QB's to move to the NFL.

So the disadvantage that you note would likely be LESS for Cam than for most other college QB's, no?

Stop talking, and maybe sit the next few plays out.

Wake me up when a spread running team provides the NFL with a competent NFL QB.

C'mon man. It's the NFL. The LBs at the next level make even SEC LBs seem like Pop-Warner players. It's a whole different ball game. Like I said, he HAS to prove he can read a defense WHILE dropping back. If he can he'll make some owner very happy.

I think I'm the only person in my group of friends who believes that Cam Newton will be very successful in the NFL.
