Yea, if you could truly take a national count of people who were "fans" of a school, Alabama wouldn't even be in the Top 10.

Notre Dame
Michigan
Ohio State
Texas
Southern Cal
Maybe even Florida State and Miami

Then after that Alabama is in that next group that has huge local/regional following and a decent national following (the national following almost all sprouting up in the last 10 years via football success and student geographic diversity).

I mean, yea, they are around. There are also tons of normal alums/non alum fans around who outnumber them 4 to 1. Almost anyone who comes to Tuscaloosa generally says it if a fun atmosphere and people are nice. Even rivals of ours.

I mean, we all talk shite about other fan bases and call them all trash on this board, but this post is the reality you actually get about 99% of the time at all of these games. I’ve been to many away games and honestly, I’ve never had a bad time at any of them in regards to the other fan base. Almost everyone is chill and are welcoming to opposing fans.

I bow to no one in my disdain for all things Bama, but 75-80% of their fans are perfectly normal and tolerable people. It’s that the bottom 20% are such complete a$$holes that gives them a bad name. Plus the fact that too many of the 80% make excuses for the fricktards.

Are you talking about ones that work, pay taxes etc. Or the ones that teach their kids to not ask dumb arse questions on a football board.
