$115 million per school in 2025.

Is that good for your school?

That is really not that much money.

A normal building renovation like an arena in a major city costs $250-500 million.

I don't understand the hype.

You will probably never see that money again in actual materialization, as a fan, ever.

It's just a dick-measuring contest between conferences.

I am sure that the Universities that have normally suffered in the past will love it...but it really won't make a huge difference going forward in relation to their yearly budget.

In 10 years thats $1.15 billion. Stadiums last lots longer than 10 years.

Boosters and alumni and others donate lots of bucks per year way more than that.

Money still matters to upgrade all facilities football is the only sport that makes money for most universities. Without football no other sport can sustain.

Would you rather only make $50m per year? That means you make over $500 million less in 10 years.

Auburn spent about 300 million on Baseball and Basketball 10 years ago, and no one is complaining.

We get results I guess, but that is like 2.5 years of money on a single project that needed to be done since the 1990's.

$115 million per year is not that great per school compared to how much people are trying to "sign contracts" for compared to the Big-10.

That is low money, in everyday economics.

Maybe y’all can bring Owen Field up to SEC Standards with that kind of money, Land Thieves.

I guess people can use the money.

But, there was nothing wrong with the previous system in the SEC.

We weren't exactly hurting for money. Now, we have more. You are naive if you are going to see that money making a difference for your Universities going forward though.

The whole BIG-10 vs. SEC thing over the past few months "has" been hilarious, I must admit.

$500 million in most cities is 2 crappy museums per year that can barely hold things together.

An average Six-Flags makes $1.5 billion per year.

You don't see them bragging about it.

$115 million per team is not that much money in relation to breaking up colleges across the nation.

That is small pee-pee money.

You should really just quit posting because you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

I have a B.A. in Accounting.

I don't see why $115 million per year, per school, is worth the continuous argument between the BIG-10 and SEC going forward.

That is low money for both Conferences in relation to fighting over College Football.

You do you, though. College Football is a scrape in the bucket to some teams.

We need to dump the free loaders and replace them with Clemson, FSU, UNC, Va Tech etc. The free loaders know who they are - this will happen it's just a question of when

Showing off the Auburn education.

$115 million every year is a large amount of money.

Covid messed some stuff up for budgets, but if we look at expenses prior to that

quote:

Athletic expenses as reported to the the US Department of Education (2017-18 school year):

AVERAGE
1. SEC: $123,779,571
2. Big Ten: $115,801,423
3. Big 12: $107,315,303
4. Pac 12: $103,717,318
5. ACC: $98,455,923
6. AAC: $52,739,985
