Total Domination story by bamasportsreport

We'll have more to say about Bama's 31-6 whipping of Florida in the coming days, but I couldn't head to bed tonight without at least making a comment. The fact that Bama beat Florida on Saturday did not surprise me. The fact that Bama won by a large margin isn't really all that surprising. As an unabashed Bama fan, there is always that part of me that thinks Bama will win big.
What did surprise me is how easily the Tide made it look.
There was never one second in the game where it felt like Florida would win. Okay, maybe during that first drive. But once Marcell Dareus knocked Trey Burton for a one yard loss on third and goal and Nico Johnson followed that play with his interception, the game was over.
If you take a look at the box score, it's tough to figure out exactly how it happened, too. Neither Mark Ingram, nor Trent Richardson ran for better than 100 yards. Greg McElory didn't pass for 100 yards. Nobody on offense had a standout game. So how in the heck did Bama manage to roll up 31 points and possibly put an end to the era of Florida being an elite national program?
The Gators will still win their fair share of games, no question. But when you get utterly dominated on national television in what is supposed to be your revenge game, it's tough to come back from that in the mind's of the fans. The flipside of that coin is Bama stepping forward and cementing its place as the nation's elite program.
The fact that Bama so easily dominated this game that it simply felt boring to watch, and there is nothing in the box score to indicate why, tells me one thing about this team - Bama is damn good.

not boring at all. I enjoyed every minute. I kept thinking about Pouncy's bold statement about "revenge". That guy is a joke. He had a terrible game all around.

I had the same question....I looked at the stats last night and wondered how we rolled 'em up like that.

Florida is still acting like they have Tebow at QB. The offense is way too east to west for who Florida has now.

No kidding. But, we had over 200 yards of offense in the first half. In the second half, we didn't have the ball much, and when we did, we were pretty conservative with a 28-25 point lead. Also, CJ Mosley's pick 6 cost us a possession that could have added to the stats. And Julio missing a catch stalled a drive.

Our play calling was terrible as usual.
Bama was the better team by a mile.

A pretty damn good guard last year struggling at center. You'd think that his play there would have shown up in practice and that Urban would have went another direction. He's better than this.....I think.

Addazio should get a Tide game ball...
