I doubt the Admins would agree to banning someone for just a week. Seems kinda pointless.

Yeah yeah everyone says that. When it comes down to that week you'll find out that very few will actually step away unless forced to by admin banning.
Last year, IIRC, the admins didn't encourage this anyway.
