This coronavirus is not magically going to go away and the NBA, MLB, and the NFL know that...so why should CFB be any different... Play, dammit...if worse comes to worse with ionfections, then shut it down. On the other hand I hope there is some hope, at least as tiny as it might be, that some big 10 teams can either play as an independent this year, or even better, join a conference. Boy, would I like to see OSU in the SEC, with there talent laden lineup, with Fields, and what it would bring. My gosh, that's not even considering the money and TV viewership it would bring. It would be throught the roof. Also, Penn St., Michigan, Wisconsin could also fit into the ACC, Big 12, and SEC as good opponents for the conferences.

Ryan Day has said he is exploring all options about playing this fall and he is quite adamant about it. I'm sure franklin, harbaugh, and Chryst are also. The Big 10 and it's governing body are wussies to the nth degree and don't deserve to keep quality teams like I've mentioned. Heck, OSU is to good for that league. I don't like the BIG10 and I hope they lose teams with this decision.

I don't know the ramifications concerning whether this would be possible, but darn, if there was any way, I'd be ecstatic, and that's putting it mildly.

It's all they got to keep players happy and recruit.

Literally all they can do is sell hope.

Their presidents all voted against playing.

The coaches and ADs lost and the schools they represent are extremely liberal at the leadership level.

It’s not happening.

Im in the minority, but I dont want to see other conferences fail. I think its healthy to have a competition from all corners of the country

I know the playoffs have come from the same teams mostly, but just having a dog in the fight at Michigan St or UCLA or Missouri, etc creates interest for all of college football

If college football starts failing across the country it becomes a niche sport to a few like hockey instead of the masses

College football is so much better than NFL and rooting for the failure of some of the conferences makes no sense to me

That is simply not true... OSU new president voted for a postponment. I don't know who what the vote was but OSU, Michigan, Nebraska, an P-State said they wanted to play.

If these schools can't play in another conference this yr can the players transfer to the SEC or ACC & have immediate eligibility?

Gotta have room for them. And with 4 year scholarships being guaranteed now, you can't just cut players loose to open up a scholarship anymore.

Hell no, especially Justin Fields, he made his decision to leave UGA. Now live with it.

It's going to be interesting to see what these players do. I know the coaches are pissed because they know their going to lose some big name recruits & current players. I hope the Big 12 decides to be patient & wait this out like the SEC & ACC.

Don't disagree but you have to make a point to them and the nation that the B1g speaks for themselves and pedo's.

The sec speaks for the Sec and top college football in general.

Just read where the Big Big 10 teams are free to negotiate a schedule with other teams (independent) or conferences, as long as their presidents voted for having a season. Nebraska already has started the process and I am pretty sure OSU has, or will, too. Those are 2 teams that allegedly voted for playing. This is really getting interesting.

The fact that it was not a unanimous decision, those schools (Nebraska, Iowa, Ohio St, Michigan, Penn St) could really flex and leave. They would probably win a lawsuit to not pay the exit fee as well since the Big 10 postponed the season.

Yes, and not only that but Fox has a contract with the BIG10, but the only team they showed all last year was OSU. You might as well say it was the OSU network just like CBS is ND... If OSU left the conference Fox would have a contract written up for them before the ink dried. That would be great for the SEC.
