I don't think Vandy fans would agree with you on Bob Shoop. He was hired by James Franklin as DC and did a freaking good job there. He went with Franklin to Penn State to help turn that around also. Just because Tennessee was a wreck you don't have to blame Shoop. You had nothing but injuries and that program was in total dissaray.

Steele’s D has been just as good if not better than Arandad the last two years.

and the SOLE reason why is y'all's DL. we had to completely rebuild ours and it's really improving and with some depth.

Are Vol fans really trying to make a late run at the offseason championship?

It kills them that Pruitt’s no Smart. Never will be. Pruitt’s 3 and out at Tennercee.

1. significantly better supporting offense
2. steele has been able to cobble together a good season here and there. he's never sustained an elite defense at any of his stops and has even been demoted. get ready

Lmao none of that is on him whenever the offense is 3 and out every drive. Especially considering we had very little depth at DLine and Linebackers, you know, the area on defense that is suppose to stop the run.

Since 2008, Alabama's defenses have finished thusly in total defense in the SEC:

2008: 1st
2009: 1st
2010: 1st
2011: 1st
2012: 1st
2013: 1st
2014: 3rd
2015: 1st
2016: 1st
2017: 1st

The one constant? Nick Saban. Only once since this run began has our defense finished below the #1 spot in total defense in the SEC.

Knowing this is a troll, but for real the SEC is stacked with the best defensive coaches in CFB.

Yessir ... totally agree.

BTW, OP's post is proof positive that Vol fans fear Boom.

mUSChamp has never lost to the Vols as a HC.

Boom is one of the best defensive minds in the country, jot just the conference. Few would argue that fact. Certainly no LSU, Texas, Florida or SC fans imho.
