Ignoring the Miles at 24 hiccup, that list is still an utter joke.

That's why people still think Miles is a joke. We saw the way he won his NC. Thank God for West Virgina

So tell me LuckyLes, what 2-loss team should have won the NC that year? Because no matter who it was, they would have had 2 losses.

I really hate to be so reasonable about this, but it really doesn't make sense to have many of those coaches ahead of Miles. Ok, his job was made easier with the premier talent that was at LSU when he got there. But, there have been many teams in history with that much talent, yet didn't do as well. 6 losses in 3 years is tough to accomplish no matter how talented your team is. And, he's had highly rated recruiting classes every year, so it's hard to argue that he can't recruit.
The only argument that could be made - and this is a reach - is that Saban was better at scouting talent. In other words Saban might sign a 3* that Les wouldn't have wanted, and the 3* turns out to be very good. i.e. someone like Hester. Only the next couple of years will be able to tell if this argument holds water though.

i agree with you guys, miles at 24 is a freaking joke. the guy has a national title and a great bowl record. i dont understand why lots of people are still not sold on him. he may not be the best coach in the game, but top 10 if anything, and im not even an LSU fan, but i respect what hes done

He did in fact inherit NOTHING from Nutt and had to start 23 Freshman and True Freshman.

I think nothing might be a bit of a stretch.
How many of your yards were gained by Houston Nutt players this past year? 100% of the passing yards and at least 95% of the rushing yards were for sure.

You guys started a lot of young players on Defense...and they sucked.

It's cute how Alabama fans think Les Miles needed Saban's players to do good. Especially given the fact that they were no longer Saban's players when he left and could have switched to another school if they wanted to. Anybody can lure in big talent. You have to coach them to win. I don't get how this is even an arguement.

I think the disrespect for Miles can also be interpreted as a testament to the LSU program. They (like me) just assume LSU already has so much talent damn near anyone can coach them to a national championship game.

I am glad to see that list is one of the few anythings that recongizes that just because Spurrier hasnt won 4 SEC titles in his 4 years here doesnt mean he is now some shitty coach. SC is sandwiched between 7 others BCS school.. like the article said, its simply not east to win at SC.

Well I think that thought was disproven last year with our shite for defensive coordinators.

If he couldn't do something with that team he had last year I don't know that he'll EVER win anything.
