FLA, LSU, UGA all had more talent than Bama last year and the NFL draft will prove it.

This up coming year Bama is above or on par with anyone in the country talent wise especially defensively.

You're right about those teams having more talent in the upcoming draft but let's be fair, a lot of talented underclassmen contributed to Alabama's national title. Mark Ingram, Julio Jones, Trent Richardson, Marcel Dareus, Mark Barron, William Vlachos, Marquis Maze, Barrett Jones, etc... Alabama had a lot of talent especially on offense.

those other teams have talented young players also they just had talented veteran players as well which Bama only had a few of especially on defense.

Anders, Reamer, Washinton, would not have even contributed to any of those other 3 teams.

Bama's team should be scary athletic next year with a much more athletic front 7 and more talented secondary.

I doubt they have the leadership or experience to make a serious run at the championship, but could make it back to Atlanta with a better offense this year.

Well, it's hard to disagree with any of your points there. I've always said Alabama had a lot more talent on offense than they did on defense. That's why I've been so critical of McElroy and McElwain. How can the defense be so much more effective than the offense with a lot less talent. It was inexcusable to me.

Cause McElroy sucks and the coaches really have very little confidence in his abilties. He is ony allowed to do so much. If Alabama ever got a gunslinger they would be much more dominant and games would not be as close.

Saban 1A

The rest can go anywhere, they have not won anything worth talking about.

I laugh when Bama fans try to pump up McElroy. The team wins inspite of him like LSU does inspite of their coaching staff. I remember they were campainging for heisman consideration for Gmac. I think McElwain is actually the best assistant on the Bama staff. Since he joined they went 26-2 and 17-1 in SEC games. He does a great job of hiding horrible QB's.

The last good quarterback Bama had was Brodie Croyle and the team around him sucked.

Yeah, we really won inspite of him in the UF, AU, Ark, LSU games. Real good point.

No one 'campaigned' for him as Heisman. His name was mentioned when he was doing very well at the first of the season, and the heisman race was wide open(as it was pretty much all year).

If you dont think Gmac is a good QB then you arent very smart.
