Can’t wait
Should have used my sarcasm font. Forgot no one on this board can detect hyperbolic expression.

Extremely pedestrian.

Georgia fans are literally the only fan base who think Newman is even above average. I haven't seen a non-Georgia fan talking him up at all.

Do you need a reminder of the title of this thread?

Didn’t Newman play for a mid tier ACC team last year?

Outside of the top 2 is a who’s who of teams no one cares about.

UGA is the most talked about team on the rant, and our guy is #3.

UGA fans make nine threads about a QB who hasn't done jack dick nothing outside of play on a middling ACC team in a league that doesn't play defense.
Rant doesn't think he looks that good on tape or statistically, citing QBR, Total QBR and other metrics as well as pointing out how he couldn't even break a 50% completion rate against fricking Syracuse.
Georgia fans: Surprised Pikachu Face.

What's his Total QBR and QBR? Why are we using PFF specifically?

Its not our fault people have been writing good things about this. Deep down it makes you fear that this guy might be pretty good at UGA. Fromm let a lot of teams off the hook last year, which was a great opportunity for Florida.

Florida made 2019 Fromm/Coley look like world beaters.
Of course they’re scared.

Me: Ban bet me this guy won't take you to the playoff.
You: LOL NO WAY MAN.
You: You're scurred.
Let me tell you: I'm happy you got this guy because he's no where near as dangerous as you think he is. The ACC was hot dogshit this year. There were two teams that ended up ranked in the entire conference.
Out of 14 teams they had 4 that had a better than .500 win rate in conference play.
The SEC West had more ranked teams than the 14 members combined.

Again: He is unproven, he hasn't been reading defenses for years and he had a terrible end of the season. This is not a top 3 Quarterback, and he will not be drafted top three next year.
You guys are fluffing yourselves. It's gonna be hilarious next season.

This whole ban bet strategy is an interesting one, especially considering the ideas are still not mutually exclusive. It’s probably subconscious evidence of your deep seated fear he is the next Russell Wilson. Average acc qb turned elite QB, and remains so, with a move up to Wisconsin.

How crappy is the field if the #3 guy completed less than 50% of his passes in 4 of his last 5 games?
I guess tearing up the Rices, Elons, and Utah States of the world must be a big deal.

3 reasons this won’t matter...
1. You’re still Georgia
2. You have Kirby as a head coach
3. Repeat reasons 1 and 2

Better than predictions I was thinking 19 TDs 80 INTs

First things 1st. He has to show some good ability in the spring game. Secondly, he has to actually win the job in camp.
He will play regardless this season but lastly, he has to perform to a standard. Otherwise, I love the fit in the offense and pieces here.

"Jamie Newman's probably the best option out there — the kid from BC, (Anthony Brown), as well. But I'd say unless you're getting Jamie Newman — Jamie Newman's an NFL quarterback — the other guys are potential NFL quarterbacks, are practice-squad guys to start, at best.

"Newman could be looking to play for a legitimate national title contender in 2020, which makes sense given his rise to stardom in 2019. He had around 3,400 total yards from scrimmage, 32 total touchdowns, and just 11 interceptions during his junior campaign."

"Newman compiled 1,159 of his passing yards on these deep balls with 13 touchdowns and just three interceptions. Newman was also effective when operating under pressure, completing 48.7 percent of his throws in those circumstances, according to PFF."
