I would suggest that Updyke did more damage to Alabama than he did to Auburn by his actions.

whole situation still pisses me off...and to those saying it's just trees...

what if for example (bama fans), if someone took a sledgehammer and broke up all of the hand prints in the concrete from your former players?

I would get over it. I don't hold all au fans accountable for the few who claim to piss on the grave of a coach. Who still has sons and grandchildren around. Its individual idiots. All instances, as well as the poisoning are stupid acts and the person is being held accountable. As I said, anyone thinking it reflects on the base of fans are as crazy as he is and can't separate being a sports fan and real life.

Those shitty trees were stumps years before the Harve poisoned them. They needed to cut those ugly frickers down about ten years ago.

I thought that Uncle Harvey did more damage to Bama than AU the second he destroyed our trees.

Nothing that ever happened to Auburn would damage Alabama. People outside of the southeast do not know who or what Auburn is.

Certainly perception wise. A partner in my office came to me to talk about it soon after it happened (Notre Dame grad). He couldn't believe it.

No matter what I think of Auburn athletics, for anyone to do something as lowdown as to destroy those trees, and the Auburn tradition is just sad. The person who did this should be placed in the general population of Angola prison for a year and a day.

Wow thats really sad. I thought the trees were getting better, and would pull through. Couldnt imagine if somebody fricked with the Columns.

You boys killed the trees with your pressure spraying. Harvey just put them out of their misery.

Good example of the type of Updyke trash that is being discussed in this thread. Thank you for the contribution.

And FTR, the pressure washing stopped years ago and the TP was being removed by hand. And the trees were shown to be doing fine and actually GROWING before Harvey happened. By all estimates (back in 2008-2009) they had well over 100 years of life left in them. Closer to 150.

No such country as Angolia exists. Your thinking of Angola.

The obvious differences are that the trees were going to die anyway, you can replace a tree with a new tree that will eventually look just like the previous one, and hand prints of dead people cant be planted and new ones grow.
