Retaliate to a retaliation, huh? Then some Bama fan will do the same, and so on until some human being(s) actually get hurt. At least, it'll clean up the gene pool.

you guys better put an electric fence around those statues.

But at the same time, I want to punch the count who poisoned the trees in the face. What a complete douche.

Honestly, this thing could escalate quickly with all of the ignorant, redneck Bama and Auburn fans out there.

They're fricking trees, quit being a bunch of pussies and plant some new ones.........also those trees will still just be trees so they can die too. Don't frick with the statues on bama's campus or else.

It sucks, but looking ahead, they can transplant new ones in right? Obviously it wouldn't bring back the 130 year old ones, but it would look much better than a bare patch of dirt.

I'm telling y'all - there is a MSU employee in a lab somewhere laughing his arse off about this.
I would laugh if this happened. It hope it is what happened, because losing these trees is terrible.

Oh, and they are recalling the fact that 2 days after the initial call, an AU rep called Finebaum and said that nothing had been done to the trees.

I remember that story and tried to find it. They have deleted it from the auburnturf.blogsport.com where I first read it, but this site copied it.

This is not cool and so way overboard. I am hopeful that some Auburn fans don't do something just as dumb in retaliation. Shite like this needs to stop.

It may have something to do with the fact that you are on a college football message board.

A guy on finebaum said it would take a massive evacuation of the soil to make sure that got all the poison before they could plant more trees.

You are in a football message board talking about something that is kind of a big deal as far as traditions go, at least to Auburn fans. Of course we're going to be a little miffed.
