Lol, or it was a large party where police were called due to underage drinking, 40 people surrounded cops, Tony disobeyed police then resisted, got pepper sprayed and taken to jail.

Can you believe this is first "news" story on the local Fox station tonight?
Sounds like there was a party going on, they came and arrested some dude, the patrons didn't like it (this is where Brown showed his arse by shouting at the cops). Was told to back away, he kept cursing, they attempted to grab him, he tried to run away and they pepper sprayed him. Took him jail.
Sounds like a very young kid (who should probably still be in high school), getting drunk at a party on one of his first weekends in college. Kids that young can make some very bad decisions, especially if they have little experience with booze, or even pot. I feel for him, I really do.
If I were his parents, I'd be pissed off that no one was watching out for him. Someone on the team should be watching out for these younger guys as well. These guys are way too immature at that age - bound to get in trouble.

Yeah, I think it had something to do w that "failure to obey" and "resisting arrest" part.

Sounds like a pretty typical kid unable to handle his first week away from his parents type deal. No biggie.
Posted on 1/19/14 at 10:38 pm to LSUdm21
he just refused to walk away and was acting an arse
when keeping it real goes wrong

What you mean? Both arrests stem from music being too loud, TPD were called on that complaint
Brown's friend was arrested and obviously he was upset at it
Stupid move but I've mouthed off before after someone was arrested and not gotten arrested

From the police statement:
Sounds like it was a little more than "mouthing off."
It also sounds like the police gave Brown ample opportunity to walk away.
He was warned repeatedly.
Anyone would've been arrested.
Onward.
quote:
Officers warned one individual (Tony Brown) multiple times to back up and leave the parking lot. The individual would walk a few steps away and then would walk right back towards officers. The officers warned the individual that if he did not leave the parking lot he would be arrested. The individual yelled threatening profanity at the officer and stepped toward the officers again. At the time the officer grabbed the suspect to take him into custody. The suspect pulled away resisting officers. Officers used pepper spray on the suspect and forced him to the ground and took him into custody. Both suspects were transported to the Tuscaloosa County Jail.

There's no doubt that teenagers are the dumbest creatures to ever roam the Earth, but I remember the first time cops confronted me, as a senior in high school with beer in my car, in a parking lot. It was a lot of "yes sir" and " no sir." We were told to dump out our beer, and we got to go on our way. We weren't in the news slightly embarrassing a program we'd been a part of for less than two weeks.

Not "entitled" at all.
Just explaining why he's not really a typical 2nd semester college kid.
His peers are still sitting in a HS classroom,
I'm certainly not taking up for him.
