Tony Basillo: Kiffin has reached out to Tennessee booster about Vols job

Just said it on air, then said it again, saying it was 100% true.
"Lane Kiffin has reached out to our booster base and made it clear he wants the job."
"I was told this today at 2:49 p.m. by a booster. He said Lane called as soon as soon as it was official."
Oh my fuk this would glorious.

Anyone saying Kiff won't get the job because of Fulmer influence, Basillo just said anyone closely associated with Fulmer will be ignored and shut out on this one.

This was true as of like 2 months ago. And last month. Not sure if it’s still true though.

The problem is there are some boosters who are tied heavily with Fulmer that would try to block this from happening.

I doubt this would ever happen, but what a big "F U" from Kiffin to UT if he actually put them in that position. I can easily see him doing that just to be a prick.

I haven't heard that Kiffin reached out to AU. All I saw was he was asked about it at a presser and trolled Saban by saying "I will not be the HC at Auburn."

Lane would be an idiot to go back to Tennessee. He honestly needs a run of more than 1-2 years at places. This constantly screwing over teams is going to hurt him. Plus, Tennessee won’t be doing shite for a while. Yes actually building Ole Miss up as a contender in the West

Ron Sanders said multiple times that Kiffin's camp had reached out to Auburn.
Now, he's no Puppets when it comes to sources, but he puts himself out there as somebody with knowledge of the inside.
