Birmingham is 10x better than Atlanta with a 1/3 of the traffic. Atlanta is a generic southern city like Dallas. Dallas for Country music culture and Atlanta for hip-hop.

Dallas has some good areas surrounding it though. Atlanta...... yikes.

Atlanta sucks so much even the Braves left.

Many Auburn graduates move here because they are from here. They weren't smart enough to get into UGA or Georgia Tech, and didn't want the Kennesaw State college experience, so paid out-of-state tuition to go to Auburn, then move back when they graduate. Garbage in, garbage out.

Auburn is one of the most underrated schools in the nation.

It's money well spent

If you are a mediocre Cobb County high school student who can't get into UGA or Tech, and have to pay out-of-state tuition at Auburn to get the real "college experience", then yes.

If you can read, which is a fair question, I said he couldn't get into Auburn at all. I think anyone would be smart to avoid going, but he would have and couldn't.

... and then...

If you can’t look back and see he made a good decision, you are the one who isn’t smart

If you read this post again you will see that it was not a choice. He did not make a decision.

Amazing when AL and AU fans can come together on something.

I think the entire state is suffering for the mass movement from the North. To the point we might consider letting UGA join the Big 10. It is a much better fit for them. Only real reason to go to Atlanta now is to connect flights to your final destination.

Haven't been to Auburn lately I see. Parents are wanting to send the kids to Auburn because of the liberal influence the State of GA is experiencing. That is why AU put a cap on OOS.

What they have in common-

Out of State Auburn students from Georgia couldn't get into either one.

Both are so generic and sterile towns. If you closed your eyes while they put you in the middle of the town, you couldn't tell the difference.

Right, because the academia at Auburn aren't liberal... might as well be Hillsdale College.

It's truly amazing how often non-alum UGA fans start these threads about what Auburn grads are/are not

Just staggering lack of self-awareness

Damn sure better than Georgia at the time. UGA was on par with Miss State.

So that's the reason all those fortune 500 companies moved their HQ's to Birmingham?
