Will say this because I just read the announcement and the transcript from the interview of the naming of Tommy.

A question was asked about the completion numbers and how much the difference was.

The answer:

I'm not going to talk about the numbers even though I know them I will say that the difference was significant enough to make a difference.

You watched the State Pen Spring Game?

Nope just the SEC ones. Tommy whatever his name is wouldn't have been at the Penn State spring game either as he left the team before their bowl game last year.

No, he transferred after their spring game. Officially, it was mid to late April when he entered the portal.

He did not play in Penn States Spring game and he did not travel with the team to the Citrus Bowl against Kentucky due to a lower leg injury. So watching their spring game would have been pointless. He hasn't played a full quarter of football since high school so there's a lot of unknowns.

[quote]He missed the first four games of 2018 and then played sparingly the rest of the way. He was switched back and forth with McSorley in the big loss at Michigan, almost strangely so.

Later, Franklin admitted that Stevens played the entire fall in substantial pain from the previous injury that was aggravated or would not heal properly.

He underwent surgery and missed the bowl game. Throughout the winter and into the spring, Stevens' parents suggested he would stay at Penn State unless he outright lost the starting spot.

Franklin declined to name a starter after the Blue-White Game last Saturday, calling for the need for a more true competition. Stevens was limited in workouts as he recovered from that December surgery.

only in so much as we played Penn State in our bowl game and recruited Tommy Stevens as a backup this off-season as well after Gunnar Hoak transfered to Ohio State. We ended up with Troy's graduate transfer Sawyer Smith and Moorehead got his former backup Stevens.

Quick research.

My point was he didn't play in our spring game.

If you know he visited Kentucky in late April or early May, how could you not know or even assume he didn't play in Penn State's spring game.

Check your facts or you just look dumb. Oh, wait, Kentucky.

Yes Shady tiger he was still on Penn States team before the transfer. Is that what you're trying to point out? I was wrong in saying he'd left the team. Happy now? Still didn't play in the spring game so the previous poster who asked if I watched Penn States Spring game still gets the same answer.. no and he still didn't play in it anyway.

Duh.

My original post was it was no surprise Stevens was named the starter based off anyone watching the spring game. I did not say that because I thought Stevens played but because KT was a god awful 9 for 18 and his backup was 3-9

You then asked me if I watched Penn States Spring game which is a pointless question.
