I mean, it definitely hit him, but I’d be pissed too if I were UVA. They changed that without a review.

A few things I’ve noticed and appreciate about Lemonis’s team, and I think it is taught, is their sportsmanship with the umps.
The other night two of their pitchers were squeezed by the home plate ump, and both of them had a polite nod and question about where they missed the plate. They know they didn’t miss the plate.
A State batter just got hit on the arm, and the player didn’t act out to upstage the ump like a lot of players would. When Perez or Peterson said “I wouldn’t pick the bat up” (in protest) , the batter was holding his bat calmly, waiting for a resolution.
Impressed, I think it is a taught behavior, and it is smart. Human bias will creep in somewhere in a sporting event, and the way they don’t show up an ump at every turn can benefit them at some point.

Lemonis himself avoids conflict with umps all the time. Rowdey got hit at Auburn an ungodly amount of times and no one did anything
