Is this the “Dynamite” guy? I think he was JJ Walker. Anyway, Vols might pull it off if Omaha was in Knoxville

The idea is not who's the best in a 3 game series head-to-head.
You have to win a regional, to get to a super regional. All the good teams should be able to do that, as there will be 1-2 teams in each regional that aren't SEC quality.
The problem is week 1 of Omaha. It's a regional format again.
Go back and look at 2021, Vandy made it to the finals (vs Miss State, who ended up winning). They came out of the loser's bracket to do so. They had to play 5 games, winning 4.
Once you get to the 3rd game, things get shaky for all the good teams, and if you have to go to the 4th (or 5th) it's just who has what left in the bullpen.
LSU- you expect Skenes to win, and likely Floyd also. If that happens, you can advance if Coleman can win the 3rd game... but he hasn't gone deep in a game yet. So then the bullpen comes into play, which has been a disaster.
