1st round for Lock? That's funny.

Simmons probably won’t go in the first.

Play on the field deserves it but that video will undoubtedly be making the rounds come draft time.

The video of him in the 11th grade? His entire football career at Mississippi State has been perfect. While being an impeccable student athlete. And on the President’s Scholar list to boot?

I highly doubt it will come up.

4 Tide players. More than anybody else. Everybody sniffing our arse again.

Yeah, well Damien Harris is on that list. Todd McShay must have forgotten how Bama RB's suck in the NFL but NFL GM's haven't so we'll see what happens in April.

Todd McShay... He comes up with 50 different mock drafts and then crows about how good he is at mock drafts when he hits on a couple.

I like Mark McLaurin better.

You can like him all you want. Abram has better speed and is violent at the point of attack. Abram gets drafted before Mac. Mac's instincts are great- but he lacks a little speed. That will hurt him in the draft

I agree. Lock goes 1st round and Fitz goes late 2nd or early 3rd.

What is McShay's track record with pre-season draft predictions ? I know he fricks up his picks a week away from the draft.

I think it was after he signed, but regardless...these days any thing you've done haunts you forever. Glad to here he has been good in classroom and obviously on field. These journalist will crucify him come draft time, people are bringing up shite kids tweeted when they were 13-14.

It took Mullen 9 years at State to get to that point. He is a developmental coach and does a great job there. He is never going to be a top 10 recruiter from the sites standpoint. His OL and WR recruiting has lacked tremendously also.

And Kirby owns his arse

The video of him after he signed the summer of his senior year?

Yes, it will come up and be played. He’s not going in the first because of it. Right or wrong. It won’t happen.

Mississippi State QB Nick Fitzgerald

I haven't spent much time studying Fitzgerald, but his name has come up several times in my conversations with NFL scouts. In fact, every single one of them told me the Mississippi State signal-caller is the best quarterback in the SEC. He posted impressive rushing numbers last fall and has prototypical size/athleticism. He's improving as a passer and scouts believe he has a very high ceiling in that department. I'm anxious to dig in and study his play this fall. Fitzgerald could be the breakout star in the SEC, if not the entire country.

Yep. I am on record of not being a fan of Simmons after the video, but he has redeemed himself.

The guy is a Presidential Scholar. Has worked hard in the classroom. That translates to NFL success as much as physical talent. And he has both.
