As you might decipher by my name, I live in NWA. Me and the family (who are all Hog fans, house divided) made the 9 hour drive to Baton Rouge on Friday afternoon. First time down for my wife and new DIL. We had Ark fans all around us even in the Right Field bleachers and had a good time talking baseball. Me and my Hog fan son make the trip every series, so he understands the deal and respects LSU Baseball. He even bought a LSU Baseball t-shirt in the Sports Shop. I think Arkansas will be fine if you guys can work out the pitching situation. Tough break on the early season injuries, but at least it IS early and you have time to work it out. DVH will have you ready by late May. Now, on to the Tenner series. We don't catch a break.

Sounds like you’re raising him right. Nice work dad.

Those Hollan and Smith kids were seriously good. They've got a stout lineup and were unlucky with the other pitching injuries. If some of the other arms step up or they get a couple of those injured pitchers back, that is not a team I'd want to face again in a series.

They'll be better when Tygart (sp?) returns.

Similar situation for me EauxZark. My side of the family is LSU, my wife's family is Arkansas, and my son is a freshman in Arkansas' Honors College School of Business. It's a top-quality school and he loves it, but I'll always be an LSU fan.

Baseball series is as important to our family as the football game. My wife is still pissed over Saturday.

LSU-Arkansas has grown to become my favorite series. Been to a bunch of games in Baum. Sat in the Hog Pen for some and never had a problem.

Always much respect for LSU baseball fans. You've supported the program well, and for a long time.

One fan base that always brings fans to Baum, and I know Arkansas fans show up damn near everywhere, too.

No. Grew up in Louisiana but lived in Stuttgart for 14 years working in the rice industry. Signed up on TD when I lived there.

Still know a bunch of people there and go back to duck hunt with buddies each season. Taught my buddies the best way to boil crawfish!

GG and glad you like it up here. Love this series every year and spot on about our pitching - hopefully we can salvage decent season and make post and see where we can go from there.

tRant is the best of all SEC fanbase worlds, because it's something other than a bunch of small pond legends in their own minds who root for the same team, getting butthurt if they're not deemed king of the hill in their small pond

it's the mixture of fanbases that makes it great

perfect alternative for instance to Tidefans, and EliteDawgs and Hogville, etc., where the local gentry want to play message board tyrant

Looks like LSU is the team to beat this year; congrats to the Tigers for the series win. We may face them again in the SEC ournament, but those games are pointless unless a team needs wins to get in post season or make a run to host a Regional. My hope is that we paly them again in Omaha.
