No I don't think it was only Bama and you're proving my point college sports has been ruined for a long time due to the cheaters.

Now that you admit that Bama cheated you can't deny that Saban was cheating by paying players. Then when everyone could pay players he quit and claimed college football was ruined.

The truth is a lot of schools could have ran circles around SEC schools by paying players all those years and you are now seeing firsthand that is a fact.

Indiana and TX Tech are just the two latest. Hell add Ole Miss to the list as well as Oregon. Then again what his name with the gas mask? Tunsil? lol Yeah ole miss paid him.

But...................most sane rational people weren't willing to be slimeballs and pay high school kids to come play football under the table.

Bryce Young, was the QB in 2022. He got hurt mid season and it cost Alabama two games.

When Jalen Hurts was at BAMA Tua was his backup.

Jalen Milroe was BY's backup.

What happened to recruiting?

Saban followed 2022, one of his worst years, by one of his best in 2023. I still cant believe Milroe left BAMA undefeated vs uga, but 2022 was the year to win the title. And it didn't happen. For whatever reason.

Everybody was already paying players, dipshit.

You think there were universities that weren't paying players before NIL. You are wrong. It destroys your entire premise.

Did Bryce Young allow 50+ points against Tennessee?

Did Bryce Young make the decision to go for 2 against LSU early and fail?

He played in both games and played well enough to win them. He only missed one game…a nailbiter against A&M where Milroe did Milroe things.

Wrong!

The biggest threat is NIL and Saban knew it. You think before NIL you see Indiana or TX Tech making the playoffs? You really think a school like TX Tech didn't always have the money to spend? They just weren't willing to go full slimeball like the gumps all those years.

Jesus, Bama just got their pants pulled down and spanked by Indiana! lol

Somehow you people still can't accept the fact it's always been about who spends the most on their roster. Now that every school can spend on their roster the cheaters like Bama, TX, tOSU, OU, etc don't have the advantage like they used to.

Y'all are finding out how much 'tradition' matters to an 18 year old with empty pockets. It was never about tradition and playing for the homeschool. hahahahaha..

It's always been about the money like it always will be.

He's also ignoring the fact that, given his idea that only Alabama and a few others were paying, we decided not to pay from 1981-1991, 1996-2007 (*paid one in 2000)

Here's the truth:

The defense has been fine the last 2 years. We were ranked #1 in the SEC in scoring defense this year.
The defensive talent that Saban left behind was good.

The problem is offense. Saban had Julian Sayin ready to be the next man up, but he transferred to OSU leaving DeBoer with jack shite at QB.
We had nothing at WR. Our starting 3 WRs were all guys DeBoer brought in since he's been here - 2 transfers and a true freshman.
Our Olinemen that Saban left don't fit DeBoer's scheme. They're meant for smashmouth, playing in a phonebooth style offense.
Our only decent TE is also a guy DeBoer brought from Washington.

While we were all set on defensive talent, the offensive roster needed a complete rebuild from the bottom up.
The problem is that DeBoer hasn't hit the portal hard enough in looking for a better QB and better WRs

A lot of it has to do with bama just getting destroyed by Indiana who has the second most losses in the history of college football.

That's not supposed to happen. But here we are. Still not as bad though as when Saban lost at home to La Monroe!!!!!

La Monroe!!!!!!!! Imagine paying players and cheating only to lose to La Monroe!!!! Didn't saban try to compare it to 911? Fuggin moron

The answer from his book was no . . .great read on the subject from Dickerson's book.

What happened to that Gold Trans Am

quote:

There’s this urban legend that angry A&M boosters destroyed the car, but I’m here to tell you that never happened. I had the Trans Am my first few years at SMU, before I sold it to my best friend and fellow SMU running back, Charles Drayton. Thanks to an SMU booster named George Owen, I was driving a Corvette by then.

Get some cream for that inflamed vag....

DeBoer is 20-8 at Bama. That is a winning percentage of 71.4%. Saban went 19-8 in his first 2 years at Bama. That was a winning percentage of 70.4%.

Fact: schools like TX Tech, Indiana, and even Mizzou always had donors with money to donate but weren't willing to be a part of the slime.

Only the past few years has Mizzou or Indiana actually been serious about investing into the football program.

Indiana just embarrassed the gumps and bama needed the refs to help secure the W over lil ol mizzou this year. Bama BARELY squeaked by lil ol mizzou. Compare that to the last time Bama came to Mizzou and absolutely destroyed Mizzou. I was there. It was like a NFL team playing a high school team. That was before NIL. Now that schools like Indiana and Mizzou are starting to play the game you see Indiana embarrass bama and lil ol mizzou nearly beat the gumps. lol

You are the child and delusional obviously.

Jesus you people are clowns.

That left you with jack shite at QB?

Here are the stats for Julian Sayin and Ty Simpson:
Julian Sayin:
1,872 yards
19 touchdowns
3 interceptions.

Ty Simpson:
2,461 passing yards
21 touchdowns
1 interception.

When will you gumps realize NIL has leveled the playing field? Before NIL guys like Mendoza were transferring to be backups to guys like Ty Simpson b/c they would get paid by a cheating school like Bama.

It's not complicated. Before NIL Indiana is still has the most losses in college football history.

With NIL............drum roll............................Indian throttles Bama and literally embarrasses Bama in a playoff game.

With NIL.....we have Oregon, Indiana, Ole Miss, and Miami in the Final Four!!

Before NIL.......this year would be the same ol cheaters we used to see every year. Thanks to NIL the playing field has been leveled.

Let me play devil's advocate

quote:

[quote]Alabama just won 11 games

And lost 4. Again. The only 4-loss seasons since 2007.

quote:

played in the conference championship

And got smashed

quote:

won a playoff game

Against another very mid SEC team

quote:

and got beat by the #1 team in the country.

Got beat? That doesn't begin to describe what Indiana did to Alabama. Bama looked like a Sunbelt team. That was the type of beating that can spell the beginning of the end of a coach's tenure and set a program back a few seasons by causing players, fans and recruits to lose all confidence in what the coach is selling.

So now Bama fans are saying Saban sucked ?

No. He was the best college football coach of all time. What we are saying is that the game changed with NIL and the portal. Had he been younger I think Saban would have adapted. But at 74 he said screw it.

Look at Kirby Smart. He is a Saban clone. He too is struggling a bit more. Georgia is still the best program in the SEC. But they are not playing murderball and steam rolling everyone in their path.
